you have all you expect from a 4 star hotel, even a phone in the bathroom ! but... there is always a but ! in your room, you can hear every sound around you : the people who speak in the rooms next to yours or in the corridor, the people who walk in the room above yours ! it driver me crazy every morning, i couldn't sleep between 7 and 9 and as awake until midnight because of the noise.

We had tickets for the theatre, so we decided to sleep at barcelona city. We chose the hotel due to its ammenities nluded in the package of the suite with full access to minibar, indoor pool, spa, etc. Very quiet area.
However, room was very hot, and air conditioned was not able to decrease temp. Our room was facing to the coast.
Metro is more or less near, and you can easily reach the beach wlking from the hotel.
I would recommend for short visits, if you want to combine city and relax in the same building.

I was sure that I had booked this hotel package as I saw it advertised as a 5 star hotel- is a perfectly adequete 4 star. I had to change from the first room which was on the first floor as it was just above a taxi rank and the revellers kept me awake half the night. I was fuming as it is only single glazing and one can hear everything going on outside. Reception were helpful and the room change was swift. On the 7th floor with a better room and good views of the city. No kettles in rooms which is disappointing. Comfy beds. Very clean. Bit dated but perfectly adequete. Close to a clean and lovely beach. This time of year it was bright sun shine, cutting and bracing winds with a few light showers. Good breakfast. Nice little outdoor pool on roof terrrace- didn't go in. Does have a spa- didn't use. Staff were fine. Only 2 english tv channels.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room possibly on the higher floors. Ask if the heating is working in the room.

The hotel location is ok, there are nothing worth seeing nearby the hotel within 5 minutes walking radius.

Pros:
- Service when i check in in the morning (10 am) was great, and gave some good travel advice. But no rooms were available immidiately, so we left the luggages with the hotel First.
- bell boy was nice.
- Room is modern and clean.

Cons:
- No tissue box, instead they give you a travel pack tissue. Is this four star?
- No coffee machine. Is this four star?
- Ask for hot water at 11:15 pm for my wife who was sick. (sorry room service close at 11 pm, go get from the bar.) Terrible service for a four star hotel.
- Location far from main tourist site,
- I got a spacious king size room at tenth floor. Put together by two double beds combined together.
- Initial shower problem weak water pressure and no hit water. But later corrected itself.
- Phone system in the room is old and hard to use.

Next time when I am in Bareclona, I will defitnately look elsewhwere.

Arrived 25th oct on arrival were charged for the room , noisey rooms thin walls, things you really do not want to hear ! as below no tea or coffee we were in room 722 ,beds very hard gave myself a bad back went to use indoor pool to be told it was 16 euros each ,which is not documented anywhere ,when we had paid 150 euros plus for that night! , In olympic area from 1992 very run down , lots of garfftie, very little around the hotel . dont ask for a taxi at reception they charge you extra ,walk to to the left out of the front door and there is a taxi rank there

Room Tip: choose a high floor sea view or its the view of an industrial unit

I am in the hotel now, checked in yesterday for 5 nights..
- The reception charged the 5 nights upon check in
- room 720 is very small.. I cannot even pass to the bed from the coffee table side
- most important, there is no coffee set in the room.. For God sake, what does it cost to put a kettle and a couple of instant coffee portions!!!!! Nowadays, even hotels in the 3rd and 4th world have coffee in the room (as well as free water bottles)

Overall so far, very bad experience

We had two nights here after our North Atlantic/Mediterranean Sea cruise. The room was adequate, BBC TV was the only English speaking station. The included breakfast was fine, but the dining room didn't open until 8:PM for dinner. It's about a 10 minute walk to the marina, casino, and hop on-hop off busses. The fitness center was very disappointing.
