A few years ago Chen Ji became "the real" chinese food place to go. However it has become too mainstream, usually with looong lines to enter. The food is still the same, but there might now other places in the area with a larger menu.
Chen Ji however keeps being supercheap and quite big, perfect to go with friends for a lot of food ("quite" chinese, and not too much adapted to western taste) for a very cheap cost.

Decided to give this a try based on the positive reviews and yummy looking pictures of the food. Had the dumplings, ramen, scallops with veggies, sweet and sour ribs, and radish salad. The food was decent, but really nothing special. The ramen was flavorless, and the best dish was probably the radish. I am more than happy to deal with surly service in lackluster settings if the food is worth it, but this most definitely was not. Son Hao and Hanoi are much better options if you are looking for good Chinese in Barcelona.

We were deeply craving for a decent Chinese food while having our long holiday in Spain... This was real good food especially their homemade noodles. I would believe they were made from scratch looking at the texture and consistency of the noodles. Good service too and you don't even need to worry about your budget!

I tried a fried rice with pork for 4.5 euros. The service is quick. The food is delicious and has big portion. The restaurant is quite big inside although it looks small from outside.

If you are looking for a good chinees reastuarant, this is the one in Barcelona, real authentic place, lots of chioices to pick from, if you want to taste it all, plane more than 2 or 3 visits here, leave some room for deserts and try things that you never tried, you will be surprised how good they are. I'm going back again... :)
