Not for your average tourist!
This is an experience to complement
the floura of an adventure; to expand the senses beyond their limits; to weep for joy in the joining of the soul of Chef Vidal and the heart of those you came before.
You live once in this lifetime ...this is it!

“Suprising”

The owner/cook/waiter/somelier is an energy bomb...
Hr tuns around, bring the food, go cook it, come back and explain it with his smile....
Only minus and reason for not full stars is the place... this cooking would deserve a nicer athmosphere.. ..

“This is the strangest thing i have ever seen”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 14, 2014

Vidal the human Tornado is the sommelier, bouncer, waiter, bustboy and CHEF?
You would think he would make it a bit easier for him self with a simple menu, but no.
Everything was done to perfection.
Go visit before Vidal dies of a heart attack.

Prices= To low.

“Amazing!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 13, 2014

My wife and I went to Spain for vacation for 9 days in Jan. This is by far one of the most amazing dining experiences we had during our stay in Spain. We had the 10 course tasting menu (for 45 Euro + 10% tax) and the food not only tasted excellent but the presentation was very pleasing, like a work of art. One of the courses was grilled Sea Bass and I'm not very big on fish and even that tasted excellent which said a lot from a person who doesn't like to eat fish. The portion of the food started out small but in the end of the 10 course it's quite filling. At the end of our meal we were the last table left and we had a chance to talk with our waiter Vidal which we found out he is the chef and owner of the place. We were amazed that the guy who's been serving us all night were doing all the cooking while he was serving all the tables. You don't feel the service was indequate as Vidal told us that he would only serve no more than 10 customers at a time to ensure the food quality and service is not compromised. You can tell Vidal is very proud of his creation and he has every reasons to be. The place is not in the tourist area and it's around 10 mins walk from a metro station as I recall. Therefore, if you plan to go which I would highly recommend it, try to get a map of the location first as the neighborhood is quiet so you won't feel like you were lost once you got out of the metro station. We took a taxi back to our hotel on La Rambla and it cost 12 Euro so if you want to save the hassle of finding the place taking a taxi there from center of the town is okay too.

“Little gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 12, 2014 via mobile

I have to agree with most of the reviews, this is a little gem of a place. Yes it is far out of the well-trodden path, and yes the decor is simple, nay dull. But that's all the negatives you will find. Excellent original food, lovingly prepared, suggested, served, and accompanied by wine, by Vidal. An amazing one-man show that you would not believe. No delays, no unnecessary waits, and a charming chef/maitre d'/waiter/sommelier/busboy too.
