We visited Caixa Forum in Madrid and liked it, so didn't want to miss it in Barcelona. It's a great building and there were a couple of exhibitions. Good place to walk around in an easy afternoon. The things I don't like is everything is in Spanish and Catalan, not so much tourists friendly.

Free. Interesting temporary exhibits. Worth a visit just to see the building. Caixa does a beautiful job with museums.

Free gallery with some interesting exhibitions. There are 4 main exhibition halls and the building itself is pretty nice as well.

Worth a visit if you're passing, but you'd definitely get more out of it with an understanding of Spanish as there was very little English translation.

This converted former factory building now houses art galleries and exhibition halls, located around 10 minutes walk from Plaza Espanya. A roof terrace gives interesting views over the nearby parts of Barcelona.
When we visited there was an interesting exhibition of Mesopotamian artefacts assembled from other world museums together with several other art displays. The exhibits were a little specialised, but the Caixa Forum is worth a visit just to see the buildings and how they have been converted from industrial to artistic use.
