This hotel is headed to #1 on TripAdvisor .... deservedly so. It ticks all the boxes. Great location, friendly staff, comfy room, nice breakfast etc.

Can't fault it in any way.

We'd definitely stay here again.

at the first i thought the hotel is a bit far since it's around 15 min from ramblas.
but i've learned to appreciate it since it was quite on a crazy city like barcelona.
it was a location that surprisingly was 10-20 mins walk to every attraction on barcelona.

The breakfast, is a buffet breakfast, which included so many cheese eggs beacon 6 sorts of juices
deserts pastry.
Well best breakfast i had on a 4 star hotel.
besides everything is new, since the hotel is up for 6 months.
I will advise you all to stay at this hotel.
stayed on executive room 308, corner huge room.

Room Tip: ROOM 308 is the best , two balcony and a huge room. if you guys are going for executive room, this...

I stayed one week in this hotel and it was a good experience overall. Even though the bedrooms are small, as in most European hotels, it is a nice hotel to stay. It is close to a couple of metro stations, it is at a walking distance to the gothic neighborhood with several good restaurants close by, and the breakfast was very good (great variety and it was changing during the week, so you do not get tired of eating the same thing every day).

People at the front desk are very nice and helpful. They gave me all the information I needed for several trips for the day from Barcelona (they searched train schedules and printed them for me for example).

My only complaint is that it was difficult to regulate the heating in the room. It was very hot and I ended up sleeping with the window open.

I would definitely return to this hotel next time in Barcelona.

Having stayed at K+K hotel in Paris and found the hotel excellent, I was pleased to see that they had opened a new hotel in Barcelona and had high expecations. From the initial booking the price dropped 4 times and the hotel matched the new price which was excellent- well done K+K.
We were given Room 208 which was a lovely corner room on the second floor, overlooking the park. Location was good, next to El Born area, with lots of bars and restaurants. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and was always replenished so there was plenty of choice. Many hotels are fitting these glass doors to the bedrooms so not too bothered by it but the housekeeping did let the hotel down. Every day they forgot something- bathroom toiletries, tea bags, even hand towels and on one day it had not been properly cleaned.
The hotel had a notice up saying they were doing some work in the hotel and this did involve drilling at 8.00 am in the morning for two days at least whixh made it hard to ignore. There was only 1 spare pillow- in a double room? Also because the hotel is pretty quiet at the moment, no one was covering the bar so you had to go find the barman.
These are minor things that could be sorted out quite easily but should not be happening in a new hotel or one in a quality chain.

Room Tip: Always ask for room facing the park

Hotel is very modern, and new when we stayed, which meant that the decoration was great. Rooms not the biggest, but do have everything you would want. We emailed ahead as we stayed for a birthday, and received an upgrade to an Executive room which was nice. Staff were very helpful and happy to help.

Breakfast was good with a great selection of breads, pastries, cereals, fruit and cheeses/meats. Not a massive hot food choice, but you didnt need with everything else. The hotel didnt do any other meals and we didnt see a room service menu so you will need to eat out but this works out well as there are lots of restaurants within easy walking reach.

BUT the location is the best bit about the hotel. Within 10mins of 2 metro stations and a railway station, open top bus tour stop round the corner, and within the El Born location of the city, it had everything you could want. Major sights within walking distance, and loads of great restaurants round the corner.

Tips:
- As for a room facing the park - the others are facing an internal courtyard between buildings
- Put your 'do not disturb' hanger on your door when in the room - cleaners do have a tendency to come in quickly after knocking
- You can ask for a late check-out until 3pm - be careful, anything later and they will charge you like most hotels do. Better just to get them to store your luggage if you have a later flight like we did.

We stayed at the end of November 2012 for 3 nights.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the park side of the hotel!

This hotel lived up to all expectations and is obviously in the Top 10 for a reason. We were personally greeted on arrival and given a tour of the facilities and shown to our room by the lovely reception lady. The room was lovely and spacious with most comfortable beds, a wide selection of TV Programs and FREE high speed internet throughout the hotel.
Location of K+K Hotel Picasso is absolutely perfect and within walking distance to pretty much everything. The multilingual and young staff in this hotel are absolutely the best that I've encountered anywhere. Nothing was too much trouble and they genuinely wanted us to have the best possible experience in Barcelona. By the time we left it felt like we were leaving home!
Overall, an amazing stay and would highly recommend to anyone. The friendly staff, excellent food, clean and well equipped rooms and excellent location in fact the hotel was all that one could wish for. It is our intention to return to the hotel again in the future.

I had previously stayed at the K+K hotel in London and LOVED it. My husband in particular was looking forward to this stay because he had been hearing me rave about the K+K hotel and wanted to experience it for himself. This hotel was a let down after my high expectations, but it did have some good points.

Pros - Great location, nice furnishings, helpful staff (for the most part), clean... also, they did have a room available for us when we arrived from the airport at 0930am, which we weren't expecting.

Cons:
- We decided to eat the breakfast buffet the morning we got there. We didn't expect it to be free, as usually the day you check in isn't included. We told them when we sat down that we had just checked in and they said "no problem", and then they told us after eating that we would have to pay for the breakfast. Not a big deal, until they charged us 50 Euro for their very small buffet!!! Definitely not worth that outrageous prices!!
-The buffet at the K+K London was huge - this one was tiny and had few choices. I guess compared to other European buffets, it was decent, but it was not great when compared to the K+K in London.
- When we got up to our room, it was blazing hot. We immediately opened all the windows, but it did little to cool it down - probably because we couldn't get the windows open very wide and also because we were facing the courtyard and surronded by buildings. There really was no airflow. Even after leaving the window open all morning and afternoon while we wandered around Barcelona, we were still all sweaty after 5 minutes in the room. We tried to turn on the fan (understanding the AC MAY not be working in early November), but the fan wouldn't even turn on. We called the front desk and they said they'd send someone right up. We waited an hour, no one showed up, so I called again. They THOUGHT someone had come up, but no one had... someone from the desk came up (not maintenance) came up immediately, which was great, but they didn't know anything about getting the fan working. They tried to turn it on and when nothing happened they said "It's not working, what did you do to it?". I tried not to take offense and chalked it up to a language issue, but still.... they eventually switched us to another room, but not before pointing out the new room was bigger and better and we were getting it for free (I offered to pay), and also that we should know the AC wouldn't work. The new room was much cooler and we could open the windows, so that was helpful. However, the website DOES say the rooms are A/C and self control, so that's not really the case if you can't control the temp of your own room.
- We came back to the hotel after an exhausting day of sight-seeing and wanted to order some snacks from room service, but there is no room service menu in the room. We asked at the front desk and they sent us back to the bar. There was no one at the bar and we waited quite a long time. We finally went up to our room, but mentioned at the desk that no one was there. A bit later someone showed up to our room with the menu.
- Wifi access was extremely spotty and non-existant at times. Also, one of the elevators was out of order for most of our time there.
- Finally the beds were extremely uncomfortable and the bathroom setup was odd (encased in shaded glass), so whenever you turned on the bathroom light, it illuminated the whole room. Not the greatest idea if you have to get up in the middle of the night.

This seemed to be a consistant theme with various things coming up short, but as soon as you mentioned them, the staff would jump through hoops to help. I just wish there hadn't been issues that needed to be mentioned - I'm generally an easy-going traveler and try not to complain unless something is personally unbearable (the heat in the room was unbearable to me)...

Needless to say, my hubby wasn't as thrilled with the whole K+K experience, so it was disappointing.
