This was a great overview for any European city and to soak in the travel exchanges with like minded travelers. My guide was Chris G an Aussie who did his masters in urban planning. He was knowledgeable of the old city and the history of the old city comes alive. Very enjoyable.

Matthias was a grat guide, with his own additional material led us into the gothic area and told us about the history of the city and its most important spots, including some made famous in movies.

My husband and I (in our 80's) took a walking tour with Chryssi in August. We toured the Gotic area and hours later wound up in a pleasant bar to talk with our new-found friends. Chryssi spoke Spanish, French and English and managed to answer eveybody's question in their native tongue. She expertly guided us through narrow streets and kept us informed about the history of each places. She was delightful to spend the time with and we learned a lot.

Chris's knowledge of Barcelona is really good. He is enthusiastic and welcoming, makes you feel part of the tour, is good-humoured (often at his own expense) making the tour fun. He was not in any rush to get away after the tour, answering any questions, giving advice about possible other destinations to visit and just up for having a chat. He fills the tour with interesting stories and facts. This is an experience I would suggest putting near the very top of your list of things to do if you are planning a trip to Barcelona. I was only in Barcelona for 3 days and this tour with Chris was definitely time well spent!

This was my first walking tour experience. I absolutely loved it. It was only 2.5 hours long but we basically got to know everything about the gothic area in Barcelona. Our guide Matthias was excellent...lovely new experience
