Do you stay in the Barceloneta neighborhood, or you pass the neighborhood to visit the beach? Then you should get you're breakfast or lunch here. (Take it away and eat it on the beach.)

Truly delightful!

We spent 10days in this area and we loved the food at this bakery. The products are fresh all day.
Unfortunately we found some of the staff not very pleased with our lack of their language and my husband and I were made to feel quite uncomfortable when pointing to the products we wanted and doing the best we could with the language.
On the end we both decided not to go in anymore, which was a shame as we loved the food

If you fancy a cake, or sandwich and are in the area, its worth going. But don't go out of your way to visit. They mainly sell bread and lots of it, I'm sure its good but we had no need for a huge loaf.

Bought a bag of stuff from here for our plane ride home after spending the day at the beach. Sampled a meat sandwich, spinach/cheese pastry, quiche lorraine and white chocolate croissant. All were good but lacked some of the quality of previous bakery’s pastry quality (see Hoffman and Bubo). Bread looked AMAZING, just didn’t want to carry a giant loaf onto the flight.

based on such strong reviews on Tripadvisor, we sought out this renowned bakery. Unfortunately, I think because of the hype, we were underwhelmed when we went inside. We'd walked past numerous beautifully presented patisseries on our way, but thought we'd hold out for the best. The patisserie display was probably what we were disappointed about, as that's what we'd gone there for; so I think they've scored so highly before, for their rustic bakery goods. And totally deserved too. The vast selection and aroma of breads is delicious. Would definitely get bread there again, but would allow myself to be seduced by the sparkly patisseries on the way, for my sweet tooth.
