The entrance fee for this attraction is 4 Euros and it is free if you're an Euro<26 card holder. It is not crowded at all and you could easily spend half a day here. It has a lot of hands-on experiences but the highlight of the exposition is the flooded forest.

I just love this museum, it's science for kids and adults. It has a tropical rain Forrest where you can see a capybara, fish and other south American species. Great value for money. To get there you have to go by FGC to Tibidabo and take a 10 minute walk. Don't take the blue tram, it's expensive and it won't get you near the museum.

I don’t normally comment on tourist attractions, but the CosmoCaixa is worth a visit whether you are travelling with children or not. Most tourist to Barcelona focus on the Gaudi venues, old town, beaches etc, but add CosmoCaixa to the must visit list. I had a chance to spend an hour or two looking at the exhibits during a recent conference as the venue. The miniature living rainforest is worth the entry alone. The other exhibits are well laid out and engaging. They brought out the kid in me. Explanations are in English, as well as Catalan and Spanish.

Very interesting for a whole family visit. They have many activities always available and some temporary. The kids enjoy it because they feel free to touch everything and to explore it!

Well worth a visit, especially if you have kids. We thought we'd seen it and done it, having been to the London science museum, but this is a very different experience. There is all the usual interactive fun for the kids but the timeline for the history of this planet is very well done, as is the rain forest!
