“Fascinating museum, very well done.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 7, 2013

This museum was the first place we checked out in Barcelona and we loved it. Our admission was free (as a part of the Barcelona Card deal) which was an added bonus. The free English-language audio guides really helped us to get the most out of the exhibits, and there were lots of interesting historical facts about the city and it's long and colorful history. Of most interest to us was the information regarding the origin of the Roman settlement and history of the region going back to Neolithic times. Overall, the museum was well lit, well organized and very information. A must for any Barcelona visit.

“Great memories”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 4, 2013

The Plaça del Rei was located centrally from our hotel and will forever live in the memory for me and my partner. The architecture is brilliant and at night the square has an eerily magical and romantic feel to it.

I’m almost ashamed to say that we got lost on our first night in Barcelona and ended up here having passed through it earlier in the day. I told my partner I loved her for the first time here, so, the Plaça del Rei will always have a wonderful, symbolic place in our hearts.

“Learn some History”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 1, 2013

Wherever we go for business we try and spend some time learning about the history and culture of the place. That's why this museum, very conveniently located near the Picasso museum is such a joy. Recommended

“Lots of information!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 28, 2013

Not knowing much about the history of Barcelona, I was very interested in the museum. There is a LOT of information in there and its easy to spend a few hours absorbing it all.
