Take a break from the Barcelona boutiques and beach and visit this museum. The displays are excellent and there is a roof terrace to eat your picnic with the family

Compared to other museums, it is very small, and not crowded. Most of the items are just nice collections showing the ancient Egyptians period. to be honest, I didnt go with a guided tour.

For those of you who have been to the big Museums, the Met, Cairo, Berlin, London, Brooklyn and understand their pull in getting quality pieces, this little museum really does have some unusual quality pieces for a private collection. The Ramses II Statue is quite unique in that we are not aware of seeing one in which he has a smile (smirk) which is quite rare in Egyptian Carvings. It is definitely worth your time for an hour or two if you enjoy Egyptian Art and history to stop in an take a look. If your not into Egyptian history wait until you get to one of the big cities and see a larger museum to see a little bit of everything.
