“After seeing Cairo Egyptian museum”
Reviewed February 12, 2012

...obiously this is not the top.
Just a small taste of Egypt, 3 rooms with some objects... maybe not a good way to spend 1 hour and money ! .

“Small but nice”
Reviewed February 2, 2012

It is not the biggest nor the best Egyptian Museum in the world, I know, but if you are lucky and you can follow one of the guided tours, this is a good experience (and it's a very interesting place for kids)

“Good Collection”
Reviewed November 3, 2011

The museum has more than 2000 square meters of gallery space, with about a thousand exhibits. These include mummies, sarcophagi, jewelry, and amulets. The museum has one of Europe's largest private collections of Egyptian art.

The Clos Archaeological Foundation is the owner of the museum and this was founded in 1993 by Jordi Clos, who was passionate about Egyptian art and started his private collection.
The Foundation does research and publishes works about Egypt. It is actively involved in education about Egyptian art and life and also has a travel agency to promote travel to Egypt.

As others have said, the entrance fee is surprisingly high. That is the only thing wrong with this museum, that it is not accessible to those who cannot pay the entrance fee.
