Hotel Cram is very well situated in Exiample close to Rambla De Catalunia but off the very busy places. The rooms are rather small yet tastefully decorated modern and clean. For a 4 star hotel in Barcelona the prices are very reasonable. Very nice terrace on the roof, good wine and holiday spirit loungy music.

Wifi reception in the rooms is rather poor. Works fine in the bar though.

Within easy walking distance of Placa Catalunya, this modern, trendy hotel has great staff. The restaurant had moved half a mile up the road to a new location, Restaurant Gaig on Cortegas 200, and is worth the walk as it must rank one of the top five in Barcelona. A proper 5 star restaurant and we had two courses and a bottle of sauvignon for 88 Euros for two persons.
Given the opportunity I will return to the Hotel and this restaurant will be my venue each evening although the atmosphere is a little over austere with as many waiters as customers, but the food....

Room Tip: I think all the rooms are on the small side, but you can ask.

A terrific, remodelled boutique hotel in a convenient location a couple of blocks from La Rambla. They are very ecologically aware, with LED lighting, automatic climate and light control and grey-water recycling. This may not be the reason to choose a hotel but it is nice to know that sometimes companies do care. In addition the staff is excellent. Don't bother though with the breakfast. It's only so-so and there are numerous places in the neighborhood - Barcelona is a "foodies" heaven!.

Room Tip: Courtyard-facing rooms are naturally quieter but the outside rooms are so well insulated that with t...

We have just returned from a very enjoyable stay in Barcelona, Hotel Cram were wonderful! I arranged the trip for my husbands birthday and emailed the hotel to advise of this, they responded to say they would leave us a complimentary bottle of cava in our room and on arrival we were asked if we wanted to be upgraded for the first night, of course we said yes and was put in a lovely room. It had a really large comfortable bed, Jacuzzi bath, terrace and lovely bathroom. On the other 2 nights we were put in a standard double room, again the bed was really comfortable and the bathroom was lovely, the size of the room was fine. No outside noise as the doors/windows are well insulated plus we got no noise from the corridors (i am a light sleeper and i didn't hear a thing)

The staff were fantastic, showed us to our rooms and were very helpful. The pool area/terrace is small but didn't expect anything different, we sat up there at around 4.30pm and had a lovely glass of sangria in the sun (service is a little slow but we were in no hurry) the rooftop has lovely views of the city.

We didn't have breakfast but there is a starbucks and plenty of other places to grab a coffee nearby.

The location is great, just 10 mins walk to plaza Catalonia and La Rambla area felt safe and we walked back to the hotel most nights after 12am.

We got the bus from Girona airport to Barcelona Nord (bus station) due to it being late at night we jumped in a taxi which we regret now as we did get ripped off, as we arrived at the hotel the meter said 6 euro but then the taxi driver pressed some buttons and it jumped to 17 euro!!!!! we couldn't believe it (its only 5 mins in a car) we got the metro back which is 3 stops, you get on at universitat just round the corner from the hotel and get off at Arc De Triomf, line 1, very easy for 4 euro for the 2 of us. The metro stops right outside the bus station.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, i did LOTS of research and it took me ages to choose a hotel and i am so glad i choose Hotel Cram, I would definitely come back here if i ever return to Barcelona.

Thank you
The Humphreys

I have to say the staff at reception exceeded expectations. We were greater by a male receptionist who volunteer to show us the main tourist attractions on a map, our proximity to same and local metro station. It really saved us a lot of planning. The rooms were good in size , lovely and modern and excellent power shower.
However it's a
Pity they don't have more english speaking channels or movies to hire. The free wifi was great. The mitchellin star restaurant was only
Option for food in evening, no bar food menu which would have been nice so we could sit and relax have few drinks and casual dining, instead we had to venture out for food. I think this could change in summer.. Location was good 5/10 walk to nearest metro and then one stop to main square i.e. Las Ramblas btw Starbucks on route to metro link if you fancy a nice coffee.. We enjoyed every minutes of Barcelona couldn't fault any aspect o out trip.

Stayed here on a weekend trip. Rooms were spacious, very clean and very nice. It's in a quiet location walking distance from the posh shopping district.

We walked to a lot of places from here. I don't like being far from the action (as I'm not a huge fan of taking public transport everywhere) so this was a good location. Would definitely stay here again. For the one or two times we did take the bust down to the port and to Las Ramblas, the bus and metro stops were quite close.

We booked this hotel through hotwire at a good price for Barcelona so unsure of what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful room - spacious, unique modern design, very clean, excellent air conditioning, large modern bathroom with huge rain nozzle shower. The beds were very, very comfortable! The room was very quiet. Our room had only a small window looking onto other high rise buildings so the room was quite dark but since we were visiting in the summer heat, the cool darkness was welcome and we spent very little time in our room so the lack of view was not an issue. The wifi was fast and reliable - sufficient to work remotely to our office in Canada. The front desk staff were friendly but not helpful when we had an issue with our tickets and had to either receive a fax from our travel agent or print from email. The setting and view in the rooftop bar were very nice and we enjoyed just sitting up there soaking in the atmosphere...even though the bar was sometimes unattended and we tried unsuccessfully to get food twice during the evening but the kitchen was closed. Be aware that the very small pool (the size of a lap pool) is located inside the rooftop bar so those who are self-conscious may not be comfortable using the pool when people are in the bar as swimmers are somewhat on display.

Overall, a mixed review - a beautiful hotel in a beautiful city - only negative was the service. This hotel met our needs well because it was good value, the room was beautiful, well equipped and clean. I would suggest this hotel for those who will be: using the hotel mainly as a base for other activities, eating outside the hotel, and note having unusual service requests. Good hotel for business travel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a window and view.
