This is a three star hotel and to be honest, the room was definitely three star (to be expected). Everything was spotless, the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful and can point you in the right direction for things to do/see. The hotel is excellently located right by Las Ramblas and is a five minute walk to the marina. Food was good and breakfast runs to 11:00 so great for any late starters... Definitely worth the money and would recommend to others. Would recommend you save money on the taxi fair and catch the A1 or A2 bus to Plaça de Catalunya. Costs about 8 Euro each and takes about 30 minutes (Taxi costs around 35 Euro...)

We were fortunate enough to stay at the Hotel Gaudi when we were in Barcelona. The staff, especially Paolo and Lopez were so very accommodating, They gave us great information about the area, what to see and do. It is very close to the Rambia and tour bus stop. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The balcony we had over looked the Palau Guell, what a beautiful view. I stayed at the hotel in August with my family of 13 and then was back again with my sister in November. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.

Lynda from Ohio

Room Tip: The upper rooms on the street side have a beautiful view of the Palau Guell.

We booked this hotel because its just off the Ramblas at its southern end. Its location cant be faulted as its near to all the sites and transportation.

The rooms are small and the interior ones not worth the money - pay for another hotel with views. The bar service is poor and reception not much better.

There are better places to stay near by.

Just off the Rambla - central location

Free wi-fi.

Excellent breakfast. Bacon, eggs, sausage, cheese, salami, ham, lots of pasteries etc.

Clean hotel. Good quality furnishings in room.

Friendly and helpful staff. Spoke English.

The reason for Average rating was our room was very noisey. Every door that shut in corridor made all of cupboards doors in our room rattle. So no sleep after 6am when others were up and about.

Room Tip: Ask for one with balcony - our interior room was very noisey.

We recently spent a short holiday in Hotel Gaudi.
We found it to be a very comfortable hotel, situated just off Las Ramblas and ideally located from which to explore Barcelona..
We had a room with a small balcony with a view of Palau Guell.
The room was comfortable, bright and quiet.
The staff was both helpful and peasant.
I hope to visit this hotel again.

Room Tip: As the walls are a little thin, it is best to take ones 'exercise' outdoors.

Was my 5th time en Barca, previously the safety aura of Las Ramblas had me stay further out but this time about 20 of us were staying there and it was January. Service? superb! no problemas very professional and kind. book early and ask for a room with a balcony and was the same price as cramped quarters booked later within - sure on the weekend it WAS hard to sleep, even at 4 a.m. can't imagine in the 'high season'. you don't go to Barca to sleep. Room 222 was fine - view right into the upper windows of the Palau Guell. great internet but oddly - no fridge.
yes hard to find - come from the airport aerobus down Las Ramblas and when you see Hotel Oriente - you are next right - see a small pizzeria sign - there are 2 small grocer shops nearby, location is superb - service perfecto!- good breakfast...if will be a tough decision whether to stay here again or the lovely apartment by Arc de-Triomphe. location!

Room Tip: get a room with balcony - not necessarily top floor terrace - same price as interior 'nothing ro...

We stayed in the Hotel Gaudi for three nights and were really impressed. The hotel is located just metres off La Rambla and located close to the Liceu metro station which offers relatively quick and easy access to the airport. Also given its location to the busy La Rambla the room was also quiet at night times.

The bedrooms are compact but are clean and well equipped, we were located on the fifth floor (Room 519 - which is classed as a 'superior' room) and this had its own balcony which looked out onto the roof of the Guell Palace with its Gaudi roof structures.

The breakfasts were also very good, with plenty of choice (albeit the menu didn't change over the three mornings we stayed there)

In summary: I would have no hesitation in staying here again and would happily recommend it to others.

Room Tip: Try and get a room on the fifth floor with views of the habour and the Guell Palace opposite the hot...
