We found this hotel by chance on the british airways site, and read all the fantastic reviews and we were not disappointed. On entering we found a very relaxing, calm atmosphere and we were greeted by very helpful and friendly staff who spoke very good English, we were escorted to our room which was number 45 and were shown around and we were thrilled with the room size which was a suite and had a balcony and a view of Tibidabo. The room was plenty big enough for 2 adults and 2 grown boys. The free complimentary soft drinks in the mini bar were a bonus and kept stocked throughout out stay. The hotel was lovely and clean, we did not get to use the gym as we didn't have time also not much time to sit in the lovely garden area although my youngest son did get to take a dip in the pool and the receptionist kept it open for a little longer for him. We had the use of the computer and the helpful staff enabled us to book tickets for days out. The breakfast was plentiful and perfect to start your day with very friendly staff. The hotel is located in a quiet suburb of Barcelona but this did not distract anything from our trip in fact it was lovely to return to the peacefulness of the hotel at the end of our very busy days. The train from Les Tres Torres to Playa Cataluyna was about 10 Minutes and trains are very regular we bought a train ticket from the machine with the help of some friendly girls the more journeys you buy the cheaper the ticket a whole family can use the same ticket. Overall very sad to leave and will most definitely return again.

The rooms were nicely put together. Clean overall. Breakfast a bit boringly repetitive. The location was good out of the hustle and bustle of the city but a bit far. You cannot walk to wherever you are going. Overall positive experience.

We stayed here for 3 nights and certainly were not disappointed! Do not be put off by people saying the hotel is too far out of the city, it will require a 5-10min journey on the metro to get to the tourist areas but it is certainly worth it for the relaxation and elegance of this hotel! We stayed in a rooftop attic A8 room which was beautiful and the ambience of the room and lighting very classy although perhaps an option for a main ceiling light would be useful as it was quite difficult to see into luggage at times. The beds are connected to make a double but a lot of hotels have to do this to give themselves flexibility to make it a twin if required and to be honest you don't really notice it as they are very comfortable and the pillows were amazing! The mini bar is free and the soft drinks in the pool and lounge areas downstairs are also free. This is excellent service and more hotels should offer the same as it really doesn't cost them much to do this but it leaves the customer with a very positive feeling about the hotel. Also snacks and coffee are free in the lounge. The lounge area is very relaxing and quiet with leather sofas and a selection of magazines in various languages. The bar and breakfast area is very nicely decorated and breakfast was good with a range of fruit and continental selections. We were extremely impressed with the breakfast waiter who was very polite and efficient! All in all a great stay, highly recommended!

Needed a room for just one night, to catch an early flight the next day and found this on TA: how bad can it be, for a single night, I thought.
In the event it's now my Barcelona hotel of choice. I've kinda 'done' the city hotels, and this is situated in a pleasant residential area, though only a ten-minute cab-ride from the centre of town. The decor is charming, as are the staff. Breakfast is more than adequate, and there are restaurants within easy (and safe) strolling-distance.
The night-manager and I spent an hilarious hour trying to get the coffee machine in the lounge to behave, but it was an enjoyable break for both of us, I think! Oh, and there's an honour bar, which adds to the homelike atmosphere.
I'll definitely be back.

The hotel is a short trip by metro to the Placa. It is located in a quiet, upscale residential area and thus it is a good place to relax. The staff is friendly, and the breakfast was great.

The one negative experience there, was that instead of a large bed it was two beds placed next to each other. Bad for snuggling.

Tip: Just take a taxi from the airport. The airport train is anything but express, and the Barcelona subway system is not friendly to moving heavy suitcases around.

The Primero Primera is one of the nicest Hotels I ever stayed. We came in February for a Long Weekend. The Hotel is in one of the better neighborhoods of Barcelona. The next Metro Station is about 5 min away. The way to the Hotel from the Airport takes a while so I would recommend a Cab. The staff is very nice and supportive with recommendations. Our room was very large. All non alcoholic Drinks in the room and in the common room are included. Everything in the Hotel was nice. The breakfast buffet is small but very fresh & of very good Quality.
I will visit this place again!

Not a bad hotel but not great either. We stayed at the Hotel Villa Emilia for three days and then here and to me the first hotel was quite a lot nicer. The breakfast here is its biggest plus. However, the room was a bit dark, characterless and quite plain. The shower would spray all over the bathroom leaving the floor soaked. While some of the staff were helpful, others weren't particularly. The staff at the Hotel Emilia were way more helpful. Add to this the fairly inconvenient location and a "swimming pool" that is too small to actually swim more than 2 meters...This place is OK but just not worth the 150 euros per night price tag. I wouldn't come back.
