Friendly staff, but rooms are small, and it is a taxi ride away from the fun parts of Barcelona. It is across the street from Esade, so if you need to be near the business school, it couldn't be more convenient.
- Free Wifi
convenient, quiet, nice staff, helpful. I changed the room because the first was too noisy (next to the elevator) and this was no problem at all - quick and supportive. WIFI worked great. Very close to IESE. Bus to Diagonal - from there metro.
The Sansi Pedralbes is a decent, businessperson's hotel located in an upmarket part of Barcelona. Reception boasts extremely good looking women who are charming, helpful and English speaking. The rooms are fine with good wi-fi. My only complaint would be that I think that one English speaking movie channel and, perhaps, an English speaking sports channel on the TV would not be too much to ask for. 5 days of Sky News is a bit much!!!
Breakfast is OK without being spectacular and lunches looked to be very good. The hotel is a little removed from the hotspots of Barcelona, but taxis are readily available. A walk to the nearest shops/restaurants would take about 15 minutes (to Diagonal Street). Coming back may take a little longer as it is mostly uphill.
I don't know about value for money as the company paid, but I expect the cost would be on the high side.
I have just come back from Barcelona and I stayed at Sansi Pedralbes. The hotel is quite modern and excellent located if you have to go to IESE's campus. It's approx. a 5 min walk to the campus!. The area where it's located it's great as it's one of the most exclusive and beautiful neighborhoods in BCN so you can enjoy watching amazing villas!.
In terms of facilities, the hotel is quite well equiped with a spa, although I didn't have the chance to check it out :(.
Finally, the staff is very nice and helpful although it doen't balances the size of the rooms, which are very small...
Modern hotel in a more residential area of Barcelona. Good if you are on a business trip - might be not suitable if you intend to visit on a city vacation, because then it is too far outside the center.
Rooms are spacious and modern. I do not recommend the breakfast, though: coffee is good, but for 17 Euro I would really expect more. So better head for some coffee shop.
Wake-up service was very reliable - you do not find this often in hotels...
Hotel is near the business schools where lots of meetings are also held. Time to downtown with taxi is only about 15 minutes. However, as there are many schools around, make sure your avoid the "parents-traffic" in the morning.
Rooms are ok, bathroom is very nice and breakfast very diverse and good.
Staff is VERY friendly (at reception, bar, check-out).
