“Great afternoon out!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 10, 2013

We spent around half a day around the castle. Reached there by the cable which was very fast and easy to connect. The cafe in the castle served some great food. Great views of the harbour from the castle, something not to be missed!

“Beautiful ”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 9, 2013 via mobile

Spent only a few hours in the park wandering about and heading up to the castle in the cable car (it is worth going up that high for the spectacular views). Wish we had had longer to explore everything this park had to offer. Top tip: go on a sunny day and bring a picnic to enjoy at the top of the castle as you enjoy the views.

“Great place!”

Great place to go to, especially the Museum on premises-take care to notice the bus schedule though so you don't get stuck! (otherwise it's kind of an expensive cab ride up there)

“The fort is great.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 7, 2013

There is so much to do here. The gardens are beautiful even in January--at least in this abnormally warm year. The fort is worth spending at least 90 minutes there. You need to go up to all three levels. There are three places to eat something inside. You cannot see these from the outside. One place has a little more to eat a significant lunch while the other two are mostly for something light and a drink. It is a great place for kids to run around, but you do have to watch them climbing on the walls because it could be dangerous. I was amazed at the views of Barcelona from all its sides. It is a large, large complex. I just sat there contemplating how they accomplished building all of this in its time period. Note that you can take a funicular from the Paral.lel metro stop at the end of the L2 line for the price of one trip ($2 each way or $1 each way with a book of 10 tickets). This only gets you to the area by the tram which is kind of expensive, but you can walk up from there or take a bus up to the fort. Other things like the Joan Miro Museum are here too. The gardens next to the Joan Miro are fantastic, but a lot of things are not open in January. There were, however, orange trees ripe in January.

“Stunning views, very peaceful and quiet”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 7, 2013

We had a wonderful trip on the funicular up to the parc. The views are simply stunning, and we would highly recommend any visitor to take a trip here. The church is beautiful and very tranquil, and we enjoyed walking around
