I paid 800€ for 3 nights and the room was small, with a wall in front of the window (actually it even not a window but a velux). More, there was no food in the small fridge.
The restaurant where you have the breakfast is without light, a bit sad.

A nice hotel (people working there are really nice) but too expensive for what they propose...

The hotel was walking distance to Bari Gothic, La Rambla and El Born. It was also convenient to shops, coffee bars, restaurants and everything in between. The hotel environment was very clean and well-kept. During our three days stay, the front desk staff, Erica, was extremely helpful, friendly, courteous and professional. Erica helped us with our luggage storage, answered our questions and called a taxi for us upon our requests.

Room tip: Maybe a room in the higher floors...less noise from the streets.

Location is good - central and walking distance to Gothic quarter and the Marina area.

The hotel is old. Guests have to walk up about 8 steps to get to the raised ground floor level that has reception and some seats. The marble tiles, lack of lighting and general old appearance of the hotel is unwelcoming. I saw many other 4 star hotels in the same street or nearby which looked far nicer.

Rooms: small and noisy. The windows are double-glazed but are metal frame that transmits noise. I had a back room (better) - my friend had a front room (very noisy).

Wifi - free and OK.

Bathroom: old and my shower did not work properly so I had to use the bath.

Pricing: is very 'dynamic' so prices change during the day. First night was 160 euros, second night 200 euros and Saturday night was 260 euros.

Eats / drinks - in reality there is nothing on offer. The public areas are dead and unattractive.

Would I go back? No. This is a 2 star hotel charging 4 star prices. I moved to the Grand Hotel Central (5 star hotel, 150m along the road) and the extra cost (about +100 euros/ night) made my holiday enjoyable,

Reviews on here are mixed... but we loved the hotel. It's perfectly placed for exploring Gotic, Born, taking the metro, taxis, Francia station for trips to Sitges, Villanova etc.The staff on reception are truly wonderful - ask them for their help, restaurants, travel.... When we booked we asked for a quiet room.. They gave us one - it was cool, spacious, with a great bathroom and comfy beds. This hotel is no frills. Good breakfast. It's a hotel for using as a base to explore from... the public spaces are not large. There is a small bar, but not much else. But with so many exciting sights to see, restaurants to eat in - why would you?

Room tip: Ask for a quiet room at the back.

We stayed 5 days here. It was its location to las ramblas that drew us. It was clean and spacious. We had a room facing the wall which was nice. The hotel was nice and had a boutique-y feel to it. There is a train stop at the end of the street. There's a bar 2 doors down and shop on the other side. Would recommend this hotel
