“Central Location - Walls Very Thin”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 14, 2013

A pleasant enough place to stay but if you want to have a lie in book somewhere else. The internal walls were painfully thin and you can here everybody walking the corridors from 7am. You can also hear the long rambling conversations of housekeeping staff who should know better. If you are intending to be out most of the time I would highly recommend as you could not wish to be better located and the breakfast was adequate.

Room Tip: Take some earplugs.

Good location, a short walk from the market and from the metro station.
Rooms quite small, it would be desirable to add Fridigr store things.
It is the less "good" bank of La Rambla, staff matters, modest breakfast. Too hard rolls.

Enjoyed staying in the City centre, just yards from Las Rambla. We had a room at the front with a Juliet balcony, which was clean & tidy. Others have complained that it was noisy, yes you had noise when the door was open, but when closed it was quiet. You have to remember you are in a city centre!! Breakfast was as others had described, scrambled eggs & frankfurters, plus sliced bread for toast, 2/3 types of rolls, croissants, meats & cheese etc enough to keep you going for most of the day. We arrived dodging a thunder storm so it was convenient to go to the restaurant Rita Blue next door, excellent food, we ate there twice as it was so enjoyable.

The location was great two minutes from Las Rambla and easy to get anywhere, a great location to explore from. We would recommend this hotel.

We stayed here for 1 night prior to joining a cruise. We were very pleased with our choice, clean rooms everything we needed to the nights stay, breakfast was more than adequete with Yoghurts, Rolls, Ham, Cheese, Toast, Fruit Juice and Scrambled Eggs and Sausages (Spanish ones!) The position is great, in a little square just steps from Las Ramblas and the famous market, very nice bar right next to the hotel and numerous little coffee shops in the surrounding streets. We found it quiet at night. Would definatly stay here again when in Barcelona

We stayed at this hotel for six nights. The room didn't smell good. - must have been a water leakage somewhere. Breakfast not very exciting. Good internet. Very good location , but not as quiet as stated in the ads.

Just 11 minutes walking from Placa Catalunya and a block or so off La Rambla this hotel is a good choice for a clean, basic hotel at a reasonable price. The square in front of the hotel is home to a few souls 24 hours a day but this doesn't detract too heavily from staying there. Just up the street is another cloister that can provide a peaceful respite from the busyness of the area. Nice restaurant just next door. Breakfast is adequate and staff is helpful.

Room Tip: We stayed on 4th floor at the back with the window wide open and it was quiet most of the night.
