My wife and I stayed here in Feb 2013. Hotel was great price so wasn't expecting too much. We had a really nice room, clean, spacious. No faults at all, would recommend to those travelling on a budget. Hotel is 20 minute walk to Las Ramblas. Tomato Cafe opposite the hotel served great food and drinks, really nice staff, good fun. Would definitely stay here again if visiting Barcelona again.

The hotel was fine for a short break..nothing exceptional but cleaned well and not far from city attractions. Great restaurant nearby on Carrer de Valencia.."Toto"..highly recommend.
One slight niggle...tea and coffee making equipment in lobby.which really should be complimentary as no facilities in the room..we were charged for and as we had to make it ourselves and there was no milk...think there should be no charge. However the staff were friendly and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Room Tip: Some rooms are built looking onto a central enclosed unattractive yard..no daylight at window...so avoid if possible

The location was ok, easy to get to from the airport and a good base for spending the days sight seeing and some really nice restaurants nearby so at night you didn't need to venture out too far to get food.

I was in room 210 which faced the street, which was noisy but is expected in such a busy city, but I think my room had some kind of pipe behind a cupboard that every time someone flushed a toilet or had a shower I could hear water running which was annoying.

The breakfast was excellent though and overall the stay was good, easy to get to the main railway station as well, just ask to not stay in Room 210.

Room Tip: Do not stay in room 210

Checked in here for a short stay in Barcelona and was greeted by helpful professional staff, brought to my delightful and generously kitted-out room then walked pretty much everywhere from there around the city.... to be recommended! The room rates on Venere.com were excellent.

The hotel is a little further out but this wasn't an issue for us as we like to walk and explore. It was about a 20min walk to Las Ramblas.
The staff were very friendly and the rooms were spotless. Towels and bedding changed everyday.
We didn't have breakfast included as we thought it was a little pricey (we don't normally eat in the morning) but if you want a good cheap coffee and roll or croissant then go across the to Cafe Tomate. This place is amazing. however there are plenty of other cafe's and places to eat and drink and because you aren't in the centre things are very reasonable. We found lots of places that had 1Euro bottles of beer, can't go wrong.
Would def go again and recommend if you don't mind walking a bit.

Room Tip: We had a room on the 5th floor which was at the back and was quiet, my parents had a room at the front and also found it to be quiet.
