“Good hotel, good location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2013

We stayed in this hotel for three nights in July 2013. Nice clean rooms, great bathroom, helpful staff, small gym downstairs, wi-fi signal was good. Location was also good: short walk to Passeig de Gracia and about 15 min walk to la Rambla. The only minus was the mattress was a little hard and we had a few issues with the air-con (but these were attended to fairly quickly by the staff once we informed them).

Very nice design hotel, very good location. We walked nearly everything (Passeig Gracia, El Born, Gotico, Sagrada Familia), but taxis are easy to get and cheap. Balcony is nice, but good do with a bit more privacy from neighboring room. The gym is a bit limited, but the rooms are spacious with a very nice bathroom and excellent shower. Make sure to bring the credit card you reserved the room with, otherwise it will take extra time at the check-in.

I had a really fantastic experience, I seemed to have gotten a free upgrade and had a lovely room to the court yard with a balcony which was very quiet and on an upper floor which I had requested. The rooms were serviced very well and immediately after you had left them. Staff was very efficient at check in and at check out. I quite liked the stripy design of the rooms. The hotel has a good central location and it is easy to get everywhere from there. It is about four blocks from the Passeig de Gracia. There is also a big supermarket next door where you can buy everything you need, especially lots of mineral water in the hot weather. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room, but as other reviewers wrote, you have to bring your own tea and coffee or buy it next door. The wifi was also working very well. The pool is small and indeed only 60cm deep, therefore, you are not really able to swim there, it is more or less just to cool. The room service, I order was rather fast food quality, but the mini bar is very reasonably priced. In general great value for money and I will definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask for quiet room on upper floor

After an approx 25 euro taxi ride from the airport, we arrived and were instantly impressed. It was fancy. The reception staff spoke good English, and one young man with glasses (sadly never caught his name, might have started with J) was wonderful - helping us with tourist info and being so warm and welcoming.
When we arrived at our room on the 2nd floor we continued to be impressed, it was nice, a good size and our "double room" had a HUGE bed (super king?)! The black and white colour scheme throughout looked great and everything worked fine, including the free wifi. Breakfast was quite plentiful, there was a small pool on the 8th floor which we didn't end up trying, and while nobody else seemed to visit the hotel bar in the evening the sangria was divine ;)
Located close (10min walk) to the Sagrada Familia and about a similar distance in the other direction from Placa de Catalunya, this is a lovely hotel that I would definitely return to any chance I could, and one that I highly recommend!

I stayed here 3 nights in early July 2013. The hotel is clean, quiet, has modern amenities, friendly and multi-lingual staff, cold AC, located away from the crowds but close to all modes of transportation. If I make it back to Barcelona I won't bother looking for a hotel anywhere else (unless this one is booked, of course). I didn't bother eating the breakfast as hotel breakfasts in Barcelona are typically pricey and there are lots of local options. (There's a large european style market one block west that has plenty of options for all meals.) The beds (including bedding) were super comfortable. They even hooked me up with an outlet converter because I had forgotten mine at home.

Room Tip: I paid a little extra for the larger room and was glad I did. Our room was street-side but we didn...

read loads of reviews prior to going out. loads of people said how rubbish the service, food, rooms wifi were but yet we have just come back from an amazing weekend here and everything was fabulous. on arrival we upgraded to a suite, this cost us an extra 36 euros per night. when we arrived in our new suite it was amazing. we had our own lounge, jacuzzi bath, tea making facilities, safe, fridge, plenty of space for the two of us Nd had our own balcony looking over towards the beach and seafront. Breakfast was typical of what you would expect...cooked items, meat, cheeses, cereals, yoghurt, fruit. we ate at one of the many beach bars for lunch, a small cafe in the main town for a few euros. we recommend, you use the Barcelona bus turistic open top bus to get around as it is a brilliant way to get around the city. we paid for a two day option and visited so much we just ran out of time. we can highly recommend the gothic quarter of town where the Architecture is amazing and the gaudi church is just mesmerising. Take the cable car to mont juic and look at the amazing views of the city and not to be missed is the famous familia Sagrada church which again is simply breathtaking. It was very warm so it was great that we had air conditioning.

Room Tip: Always ask if there is an upgrade available. We found out that our room was going to be basic with...

We stayed here for four nights along with our 8 month old baby girl. The hotel staff were great, very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. I had asked for a baby cot to be provided and they also gave us a baby bath, perfect. The rooms are a nice size, with a huge kingsized bed and we had a balcony that looked over the courtyard at the rear. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the Girona metro station and there is an amazing local Italian restaurant - A Gianni, within 5 minutes walk, very worth a visit. The pool is very small and as it doesn't get evening sunshine was too cool to take our baby in, but the hotel is really good in all other respects. Free unlimited wifi in all the rooms, free printing downstairs, and a great concierge service. We would return.
