“Great hotel, good location - ideal for a weekend break”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 20, 2013

We stayed here for a weekend in 2010, I believe the hotel had just recently opened. The staff were extremely helpful, and th entire hotel, including rooms, were spotless and suitably accommodated our group of 10+ The rooms each had a tv, mini bar, but no coffee/tea making facilities. Europark's location is ideal, in a nice area, a short walk to Las Ramblas, and close to the nearest metro station, thus an inexpensive taxi ride on an evening.

Great hotel, very well located, large rooms and kind staff. Nothing to complain about it, it was a great choose in our trip. Next to metro, next to Passeig de Gracia (10 minutes walking) in a nice neighborhood. The food of the hotel's restaurant was ok, but you don't want to have dinner at the hotel while you are at Barcelona.

Hotel has a good location for both tourism and business in Barcelona: about 8 blocks from Plaza Catalunya (hub for major touristic attractions) and 2 blocks from metro station. Room is also good: clean, silent, with major ammenities included (TV, mini bar etc). Hotel also offered free wi-fi. Breakfast was very expensive (EUR$14/person per day) and staff behaved much as they did not care much about what was going on.

How lucky we were to find this little gem! We had been searching for a long time, and all hotels in the city, even with poor customer reviews, were exorbitantly priced. It is located a short walk from the nearest Metro station, and we were greeted politely in English, checked in and out efficiently and offered a map and local restaurant tips.

The room was fairly small but immaculately clean (the bedding was changed every day), with a large shower. Toiletries were in a cute box and topped up as required; the hairdryer was a proper full size one.

Breakfast was varied, with just about everything on offer, but the scrambled eggs tended to be very overdone. Coffee and tea orders were taken immediately and delivered promptly, and the tables cleared as soon as clients departed.

Our only (very minor) complaint was that our tea kettle did not work on the first afternoon, and although housekeeping came promptly in response, a fuse had blown, and could not be replaced, so another kettle was delivered. BUT, when we then went to make our delayed afternoon coffee, we discovered there was only tea and no whiteners/creamers. I left a note asking for coffee and milk for the following afternoon, but, no joy! We can't see the logic of providing a kettle, tea and suger, but no coffee or creamers.

All in all, a most enjoyable stay in a delightful city and would definitely return and recommend to others.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room as the hotel is on a very busy, noisy road.

Okay so here are the minus points - no tea/coffee facilities in room.

Apart from that I cannot really fault the hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful, easy, quick check in. Rooms are fairly small but clean and have everything you need inc hairdryer, mini bar and safe. We were in a room facing the road so there was quite a lot of traffic noise so if that bothers you I'd take some earplugs (cant comment on how noisy the other rooms are) bearing in mind you are in the middle of a city. TV only has a news channel in English.

The breakfast was excellent, lots of choice and serves till 11am which is a plus point.

Location - everywhere is within walking distance, there is a metro system, train and tram which we didn't use (only train to get there from airport, just over 7 euros for 2). If you like buying clothes its fantastic there are shops galore.

Overall I had an lovely time in Barcelona and couldnt really fault the hotel at all.

Clean, good location, reasonable price, Cable TV provided
I stay for 4 nights. Location: Great you can walk everywhere. Hotel: Very clean. The rooms are so nice. Free internet. Staff need to act like they care.they are a bit snobby. They provide a kettle on request.

We stayed 4 nights at the Europarc Hotel and found it to be everything that we needed.

-Decent Breakfast and Free WiFi.
-Clean, clean , clean! Modern comfortable and room, bathroom, bed and bedding.
-Good location. Just over 5 minutes walk from the Passeig Gracia Train Station directly from the Airport. 15 minutes walk to Sagrada Famalia, 15 minutes walk to Rambla Cataluyuna for a huge selections of Restuaransts (highly recommend Taller Tapas:-)
-Good Rates

We stayed in a Superior Room which included the breakfast.

Only negative thing to think of is that although the front desk staff was helpful when asked, they were not very friendly. No greetings when you entered the hotel, have a nice day, or even thank you for staying with us at check out....

We would highly recommend this hotel, but you must be prepared to walk 10-20 minutes to get many restaurants, hop on hop off buses, and other places you would want to visit.
