We stayed here for 10 nights. As pointed out by others, most outstanding features of this hotel are it's terrific location and extremely helpful staff. It's at the edge of L' Eixample, a short walk to the Plaza Catalunya, and Las Ramblas as well as several of Gaudi's highlight buildings. 3 metro stations are within a few minutes walk as well as good restaurants. The staff is extraordinarily helpful, especially the evening crew who helped us plan in detail a 3 day driving trip to the Costa Brava. The room is adequate size, bed was comfortable and bathroom clean and sufficiently spacious. We ate our breakfasts at nearby eateries, so didn't try the hotel restaurant. We highly recommend this hotel and would certainly stay there again.

My friend and I stayed for 5 nights at the lovely, immaculate Roger De Lluria in Barcelona. It is centrally located and in walking distance to public transportation and the office of Tourism. The staff couldn't be nicer and always willing to help with a smile. We would like to praise Christina, Mossimo, David and the manager for their patience,attentiveness and friendly attitude. The breakfast offered a variety of choices to suite all tastes.(juice, coffee, yogurt, cold cereal, eggs, cheeses, fruit and meat) The waitstaff was attentive and gracious,as well. My only suggestion is that on the weekend the front rooms can hear the people from the nightclub across the way...so you may want a room not facing the front.

It is an ordinary 3 stars hotel with cons and props as follows:
Props: staff is friendly and helpful
Rooms are large and clean but tired except the bathroom modern with great Jacuzzi.
Cons: bed is old too firm; you may need a rest somewhere else after a night sleep. The breakfast is very poor and the Wi-Fi doesn’t work properly. To reach the Ramblas you should walk around 10 mints or more depends on how crowded the roads.

The location is excellent - 10 minutes walk from Plaza Catalunya and La Rambla, but still in a quiet street;
The room is spacious, elegantly decorated in a style which is ancient-classic but not over burdening;
Equipped with a large LCD TV (don't waste time using it - go out to this beautiful city), a king size bed, and we had a large veranda with a small garden table and two sun beds;
The amenities in the bath room included (in addition to the usual things) two tooth brushes, a shaving razor, and a comb;
Everything and everywhere in the hotel was clean to the point of perfection, everything functions, not a screw out of place;
Breakfast is rich, but in a pleasant and respectable way: unlike other hotels which staff the breakfast buffet with a huge variety just for variety's sake, and you know that what will not be eaten today will be thrown to the garbage or be served again tommorrow (can't decide which is worse), here there are great pastries and freshly cut fruits (as well as fish, jamon and cheeses, of course), but in a quantity that suits the number of guests. If something is finished, it is immediatley freshly refilled, but not overstaffed quantities, so food is not wasted;

But this is just the appetizers: the real bonus of this hotel is the fantastic attitude of the staff: In the elegant dining room Jesus will anticipate your every need and wish even before you have time to express it;
When you leave in the morning to your daily trip you will get a detailed explanation on how to get to your destination, with all the patience as if you're the only guest in the hotel (althought you're not);
When you get back in the afternoon, Massimo will smile widely, shake your hand warmly and ask how was your day; and when we left, Christina actually came out from the reception, hugged us and bade us vaya con dios: truely a home away from home.
If you're going to Barcelona, don't hesitate - go there! :)

Good points: clean, comfortable, helpful and friendly staff. Rooms decent size, good bathroom, hotel conveniently located - for example 5-10 minute walk to Ramblas. Not so good: on very noisy road - constant traffic. Breakfast is the usual buffet with enough variety but low-quality coffee and ridiculously priced at 20 euros
