Excellent location, two minutes walk from the Ramblas and metro station LICEU away so you can get all the tourist site very easily.
Gorgeous hotel area, so you can walk around the alleys and enjoy the surrounding beauty ...
Very friendly staff, wireless internet at the hotel is 9 euros for 24 hours, which split bud and looked at the need throughout the duration of stay in the hotel. Of course there is also the possibility for an hour, two hours, four and so on ..
Hotel Safe also paid 2 euros per day.
Basic rooms, suitable for young people who do not spend most of their time at the hotel.
Bed, air conditioning, shower, desk, mirror, wardrobe, TV and dressers.
Do not expect to: air conditioning, mini fridge, toilet brush, shampoo, kettle.
Very poor breakfast but filling a few hours.

Room Tip: We slept in room 216, the room a bit cumbersome approach (lift then stairs) room with an interior wi...

Clean but very small room (3rd floor, room number 125), bed was close to the wall
Small window, necessity of light during daytime and very bad view : the roof below seems to be a garbage dump !
Beware, the cost of the safe box key is 2, 00 € per day !

This is a very basic hotel, a little worn, and somewhat noisy.
Pros:
*good location close to metro & La Rambla
*clean
*good breakfast
Cons:
*courtyard very noisy at night;perhaps a room away from courtyard would be better. Lots of noise at night-people yelling, trash being emptied, etc.
*no free wi-fi

Room Tip: Away from courtyard!

The hotel was clean and staff were very friendly, our room was quite small with minimum storage, overlooking carrer de Ferran street, the air conditioning was fabulous as it drowned out the hum of noise fom the street below and obviously kept us nice and cool too. The food was good and pleantiful serverd in clean and spacious suroundings but very busy at breakfast. We would definitely recommend this hotel for a few days its location for la ramblas, gothic quarter the elbourn district, barcelona beaches are about a twenty minute walk away where you can get on the cable cars and go up and explore the Olympic Village and Montjuic area. This is an amazing city so much to see and do, just make sure you have good walking shoes.

Room Tip: I would imagine the rooms at the back of the hotel to be a lot quieter as there would be no street n...

I stayed in Hotel Rialto in Apr 2011 and I found it very comfortable expecially for the position, nearby La Rambla. Rooms are clean and spacious but also a bit old and cheap. Staff members are friendly and helpful. A very good hotel to stay for some days in Barcelona!

The Rialto was pretty much exactly what I expected it to be. Our room was actually pretty big as they'd given us a family room - it did smell a bit musty but it was all clean, good bathroom and the a/c worked. We were also at the back of the hotel so it was super quiet. I found the breakfast buffet to be pretty good, it's pretty busy but as long as you're not expecting a full english breakfast in Spain there are loads of cereal/meat/pastry options available.

The location was brilliant, we zoomed from the airport to the hotel in about an hour so we could just enjoy Barcelona. Frankly I'd avoid eating in the streets near the hotel but Placa Reial (off Carrer de Ferran) has a selection of decent restaurants at fairly reasonable prices - it's a lovely place to sit and watch Barcelona go by.

Dont normally review but felt the need to say that this hotel got absolutely everything wrong.

Rude guy at front desk, bathroom smell was nearly unbearable, couldn't use air conditioning because it had a foul smell, breakfast felt like it was in a dungeon with below average food, no answer when I call to reception.

Great location.

I spend more than half my year in hotels around the world and this is top 3 worst.
