“Convenient and centrally located hotel.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2012

This is a good, basic hotel, very centrally placed. Ideal for tourists on a limited budget. Don't stay here if you're looking for high-end luxury! Very busy, but it does cope with large numbers of people effectively. The building is in an old part of Barcelona. Result: in wet weather the drains can smell very bad. When we complained about the smell in our room, we were moved immediately to another room which was fine. I left an important USB stick behind, which, at a price, was efficiently posted back to me when I emailed to ask the staff to search for it. If you have a problem, go to the senior member of staff on duty, be patient and polite and you will be rewarded.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel may generally be quieter and ours was 'smell free' - but that...

This hotel is tucked on a street which runs off the middle of La Ramblas, the location is amazing and I have been to Barcelona several times. The hotel is clean, modern in comparison to a lot of other hotels in the city and the staff are pleasant enough. We stayed in room 108 (I think) which was right above the doors of the hotel so this made it quite noisy, there also seemed to be building works going on very early in morning so didn't get a good sleep at the hotel. However, the location outways the noise so would recommend for anyone on a short stay wanting to take in all the beautiful sights of Barcelona.

I stayed in rialto hotel in the middle of october, i was in room 217 which is right above the entrance overlooking the main street. The rialto hotel was the best choice i ever made in barcelona! It is a 3 min stroll away from La ramblas and a 12 min walk from the qatalunya square. The hotel is really clean and nice, its really enviromentel. The rooms are a tad small but you dont go to barcelona to stay in the hotel :) i really recommend it!

IWas due to stay here for a couple of days but on arrival was told that there was a problem with the water supply and we were moved to a sister hotel. Couldn't complain about the service though, they arranged and paid for the taxi and were happy to explain where our new hotel was.

This hotel is in a good spot off La Rambla, not too far down from Placa Catalunya where the bus from the airport stops - if you're walking down La Rambla to get to the hotel look for KFC and McDonald's on the corner of the street where the hotel is as a landmark, turn into the street and the hotel is a bit of a walk down on the right. The print off from the company we booked with said check in was 12.00 but the sign in reception said 2.00pm, anyway we were able to check in on our arrival at about 11.30am which was great. Our room was clean and spacious. The water pressure was very poor in the shower but this isn't the case in the whole of the hotel, as my sister's room had very good pressure - she was in room 361, we were in 362. Breakfast was OK and served between 7 and 10.30 - cereals, hot and cold food, fruit, yogurt, croissants etc.
If you go right out of the hotel (instead of left which heads to La Rambla) you will come across La Jaume square as well as different little bars - Barcelona's Arc de Triomphe isn't too far away from there either - just makes a change from La Rambla where it all gets a bit samey and the drinks are very expensive!
Love this city, will go back and would stay at this hotel again.

the hotel is located right in the center of barcelona, in the gotic quarter, 2 minutes walk from the ramblas and 10 minutes walk from the port.. all the main sites in barcelona are located just a few minutes walk from the hotel.. the reception staff in the hotel was very helpful and they spoke English pretty well. the rooms were great, except from the fact that there was no fridge and that the safe cost 2 euros per day. in addition, the wifi wasn't free and cost 2 euros per hour! other than that, with this hotel you''ll get the best value for your money
