The hotel was okay. The room was clean and nice size, but the air conditioning wasn't very strong. Liked the fact our room was an inside room away from the street because we did not hear the street noise that was loud. There are only two elevators so to get down to breakfast or go up took a while. The location on the other hand was perfect. It was centrally located, near the Ramblas, walking distance to the beach (15 minutes) and close to the metro and buses. Also, a fridge and minibar would have been nice, since it is advertised on the website. Also, this was the only hotel we stayed at in spain where you had to pay for wifi...and it was only available in the lobby and not even in the rooms.

Nice Hotel situated just off La Ramblas.Nice rooms with a decent breakfast with plenty of choice.Staff at reception helpful.Though they charge you a deposit of 15 euros for a safe and then 2 euros a day.We didn't get our deposit back!

Room Tip: If you don't like your room just ask to change It.Though we were happy with ours others changed...

I just stayed at the Rialto hotel and I think it is a fine hotel if you want to stay there just to sleep. It is a 3 star hotel so there are no frills but it does exactly what it says. The rooms are small but are very clean and safe. The breakfast we had included was excellent with plenty of choice.
The best thing was the location. It is located right in the middle of everything. Close to the beach, la Ramblas and many gothic churches etc. If you want to be close to everything its the place to stay but dont expect luxery by any means. Also if you fancy something to eat other then tapas there is an excellent vietnamese restaurant called Bun Bo on C. Sagristans across from Barcelona Cathedral. It was agreat find and the food was excellent also. Could not recommend highly

The hotel had a great location, not far from la ramblas but the hotel was average, it was very annoying to have to walk 3 minutes through a winding corridor with a 25kg suitcase, complete with stairs and all. No free wifi and you had to pay 9 euros to use it in the reception so that was a rip off, the rooms were decent and the bed was good but there wasn't any natural light, it was quite dark at time. Overall, for the price, its worth it but there's better out there

Myself and my friend arrived at 2pm, along with our booking confirmation to be told by the receptionist that we had no booking. We showed her the confirmation but she just said it had been cancelled! We had to ring the agents we had booked with....on my mobile phone, no offer of use of the hotel phone....who told us they were unaware of the supposed cancellation and as far as they were concerned, we were booked into the Rialto. The agents got a Spanish speaking agent who spoke to the receptionist. The agent then told us they were going to put us into another hotel. Went back to reception and waited five minutes for the lady to finish her conversation with her colleague. She then handed us a cancellation email, supposedly from the agent. Funny thing was though, it was dated the day before we had even booked the trip! Half an hour later, she ordered us a taxi to take us to our hotel. This arrived an hour later. We were then told we had to pay the taxi and claim it back off our agent. 15 euros was the cost. So although I never stayed at this hotel, which I am now glad about....we stayed at the beautiful Lugano where the staff couldn't do enough for you, the hotel was beautiful and the breakfast amazing.....after reading that many travellers had had experiences of not being booked in, I decided to share my review and warn anyone travelling here to check with the hotel directly before you get there.

Room Tip: Ring the hotel directly before you travel to confirm you actually do have a room.
