This place was suggested to me by a friend who went here on her trip to Barcelona. It seems to be a favorite among locals and travelers! The food was very good, and they had a nice variety. The drinks were delicious and the staff was very friendly! Differently worth a visit!!

We hadn't planned to visit that evening but other restaurants were full and we did not have a reservation anywhere. Cera was full, too, but able to offer us two seats at the counter (larger groups were turned away or offered waiting times beyond 50 minutes).

It turned out we were really lucky!
The staff are super friendly despite being quite busy and we started off with their signature cocktail, a Blackberry Mojito. It was so good I had to drink another one.

The selection of open wines was excellent, too, and the bar quite impressive with a real depth in fancy international Gin.

The food.
Brilliant use of Japanese ingredients like ponzu sauce (in their take on the Peruvian Ceviche). A fabulous fruity una tartar or Katsuoboshi on the seafood black rice - a dream. Think "great Spanish food with a masterful twist". It was not pretentious nor "over the top". It wasn't "fancy looking and nothing more". It was really good.

Similar for their brilliant deserts, which are innovative and absolutely perfect.

I'll be back.

This was our last meal in Barcelona and we couldn't have asked for anything better. The food was fantastic and, even better, the incredibly helpful staff made the experience pleasurable. Staff seem to really love what they do, and are welcoming hosts. We opted to sit at the bar, which we'd certainly recommend for a couple because of the degree of contact with the staff. That said, the entire restaurant is gorgeous and well-designed, and I am sure any spot would be a treat. The (homemade!) digestifs were a highlight, and a nice way to end our meal.

We tried this restaurant on a recommendation from a friend while vacationing in Barcelona. The food was fantastic and the service excellent. It's a small place so make sure you reserve ahead of time. The portions are a bit smaller than other places but are rich and filling. Don't be put off by its hard to find location as its family friendly and the atmosphere is cozy.

Our family reunion of 16 including 3 children aged 1, 5 and 7 arranged a group dinner at Cera 23. I found the restaurant on TripAdvisor. I made reservations by email and corresponded with Paul from the restaurant who was very friendly and accommodating. For a large booking, we needed to place a 150 Euro deposit which we did over the phone. With large groups, the restaurant required us to choose one of two set menus. We chose the more expense set menu at 49 euros per person but it also included bottled water, soft drinks, and wine. The menu offers several appetizers to share including bread of tomato, Iberian ham, Galician style octopus, beef tataki, and burrata cheese on rocket salad. For the mains, each of us got to choose between mushroom risotto, cod, and lamb. Some members of our group don't like toe at lamb so we also requested to add the beef cheeks as a fourth entree option and the restaurant was more than accommodating. For dessert, we got to choose either the nutella cheesecake or chocolate coulant. Between the group of 16, all the entree and dessert options were ordered so we got to try all the different options. Everything was just amazing!! Each dish was well made, very different and innovative, and tasted amazing! We had a wonderful dinner and we had two wonderful waitresses taking care of us along with the restaurant manager. They have a tiny kitchen but they were able to coordinate all our orders and serve everything together and in a timely manner. At the end of dinner, the restaurant manager also made arrangements for 4 taxis to pick us up which is exceptional since the restaurant is looked in an area with small streets mostly used by pedestrians and some taxis aren't willing to drop off/pick up guests off these small streets. However, the restaurant was able to get 4 taxis to pick us up at the restaurant door with no problems. Amazing food and service!!
