I stayed on the 5th floor, in one of the renovated rooms, and that was acceptable, although very noisy (not from the street or corridors, but from water pipes! It was like my room was being flooded every time the room next door used the loo.) It was not as good as you'd expect considering how much money we were paying, but given it was Mobile World Congress and all hotels in town were full, we had to accept the price. My colleagues stayed in some disgusting rooms, which made me feel like my room was presidential suite compared to theirs. One in particular, room 207, was the most disgusting thing I've seen. Filthy bed linen, ripped carpet, tiny single bed, and smelled awful. There are hostels out there providing better service. We complained to reception, but they didn't look too apologetic, or too concerned about providing a better service, or any form of refund. Another one of my colleagues complained her room was so cold she had to wrap herself in towels, because the duvet was not enough. We were 6 people staying in the same hotel, I was the only lucky winner of a room that was OK and not absolutely awful. Only good thing about this hotel was breakfast, which was fresh and delicious. And the location, of course. Other than that, I'd stay away. I would not recommend to anyone.

Room Tip: Ask for the renovated rooms, don't stay on the second floor!

after reading some reviews for this hotel I was a little worried what we would get. I needn't of worried. We were greeted with smiling faces and a warm welcome! the lady had only just started that day and was very friendly as was the man showing her the ropes, so to speak. we arrived at 11.30am but we knew our room wouldnt be ready until 2pm, but they found a room for us that was ready. And it was a great room at the back of the hotel over looking the roof of Parc Guell- stunning views and very clean.
breakfast had a good choice and was hot and plentiful with friendly staff assisting if you needed it.
Staff were very helpful on directions and advice. Hotel is in the older style and was full of character and in an excellent position on Las Ramblas.
would definately return

Room Tip: we stayed in room 902 and it was excellent

Good hotel right in the centre where it's all happening. Good breakfast and good diner. Clean rooms but best of all is the LOCATION. We had a great time during our stay. We had 24hr entertainment right in front of our hotel window over looking the Ramblas.

Stayed for a 5 night break, mainly to see Barca play. Have had a number of similar trips to Barcelona before, this is the first time in this hotel. We had a room at the back of the 9th floor, which had it's own balcony and was looking out over Montjuic. Room and bathroom were clean and comfortable, breakfast included, staff were very friendly and with its location on La Rambla is ideally situated. All in all excellent value for money, if we decide to stay on or around La Rambla on next visit will have no qualms about coming here again.

the Ramblas was centrally located in Barcelona and provided above average accommodation. Being on the back of the hotel, there was no view, but no noise from the Ramblas street. Rooms are fairly basic and there's a good assortment of foods downstairs for breakfast. If you don't want above the top accommodation, this hotel is fine - why would you want to stay in your room when there's so much to see, close to your hotel in the city?

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the building that will be quiet - rooms on the front over the Ramblas...

Stayed 2 nights in Hotel Ramblas with the main reason to watch Barcelona FC, The hotel has a great location for touring around the city, local metro and bus routes all within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel its self was well kept and the rooms were reasonable size. We were on floor 7 which was the top floor so we used to lift to get to the room. As we were on the top floor and at the back we had a great view of the city and noise was not a problem except when the lift was in use there was a slight buzzing noise, nothing to major. The breakfast was good loads of choice, we did not try the hotel bar. I would definately stop in this hotel again for many reasons, the two main reasons are the price and the location.
