The facilities are a bit old and we had a number of electrical malfunctions, each of them was taken care of by the staff upon request although, no initiative was taken by the staff themselves. For example a flickering lightbulb in the bathroom was not changed for the entire duration of our stay. on the other hand, when we requested daily that the air conditioning panel be fixed, it was fixed, although was not replaced and after a few hours malfunctioned again.
The staff was very courteous and helpful, a special thanks to the front desk staff and the Level staff.

The location of this hotel is really great,lots of nice places to eat and shops if that’s your thing.
The really nice part are the helpful staff. Alicia,one of the level staff and the check in guys deserve a special mention they looked after us so well!
We also would like to thank the crew in the spa for making our visit there so nice.

We just hit to Europe our fist stop early morning was the amazing Melia Sarria in Barcelona, they had our room clean & ready which was lovely, we could take a shower an get ready to walk around the city, all the staff in Melia Sarria were very friendly , specially Gabriel at the front desk & our lovely server in the Level Restaurant Alicia she is awesome! remember our food favs everyday, names, even make a special moment for us.

We definetely come back, thank you to all!

Room tip: Level Room are bigger and includes level Restaurant

The Melia Barcelona Sarria exceeded my expectations of a hotel. They emailed prior to my visit asking if I needed any special request. I replied with a ask for a king bed, down pillows(if available), and early check-in. I was very surprised to have all my request met. I stayed in a Level deluxe room and it was very comfortable with good space. By staying in a Level deluxe room, we had a private check-in area. I checked in with Hugo and he delivered exceptional customer service. I can say he has exceeded any customer service I have every received . By staying in the Level room we also received complimentary breakfast and snacks and drinks in the evening. The food was very good and I am am very picky eater. The hotel is centered in a quiet neighborhood but your are very close to the city center. In a taxi is was 8 euro to the Hard Rock Restaurant which is in the city center. I also found the hotel to be very clean. All staff members were very helpful. We had access to a pool and they offer spa services onsite. This hotel will always be my 1st choice when visiting Barcelona.

Room tip: Bring a universal adapter and a power strip to accommodate your electronic devices.

So me and my friends spent 3 nights here, 4 rooms booked, one room had a leak but the staff moved us very quickly, the check-in was perfect, the hotel was nice but let itself down and didn’t get 5 stars because of a few things.

The rooms were nice but some parts of it very dated, phones in the room didn’t work, no irons but steamer worked well, glass door was too heavy and if you pulled it all the way out you’d be stuck in the bathroom, tv’s only had standard tv which isn’t normal for a 5 star hotel.

The view from the rooms were nice, we had rooms on the 14th and 15th floor.

Having to pay for the spa in a five star hotel is also very disappointing.
