The rooms are very clean. Service is perfect. the food during breakfest is always fresh and warm. I certainly recommend. The hotel is also near to city center. You can go in 15 minutes to popular places. There also very good restaurants nearby like le petita. But don't forget, restaurants are open after 20:30 in the evening :(

We arrived in Barcelona a day earlier and couldn't check into our accommodation early so we went across the road to Catalonia La Pedrera. Not only did they assist us but also gave us a lovelly last minute discount! The checkin staff were most helpful and full of advice, especially as it was our first day in Spain!
The room was quite small and clean - had all the basics you would require for a brief stay. Breakfast was available but we decided to go to one of the many cafes within walking distance.
Location was good, not right in the city but close enough to take a stroll into the old town area or catch the metro (train).

Stayed 3 nights at this hotel as part of a Riviera tour. The rooms were smaller than at Tarragona but were very nice and clean. There is a mini bar fridge in the room but I only used it for keeping water.
Views from the room not great - other skyscrapers and office blocks but should be expected in a big city like Barcelona.
Each room has a safe in it in which you pay a 20 euro deposit for the key and lock barrel. Unfortunately the hotel does not have enough of these keys for each room. Although I had one many people on the tour did not. In a city where crime is extremely high this is very poor and surely the hotel can ensure every room has a safe key.
The breakfasts were very nice self service bacon eggs tomatoes scrambled eggs and various cheeses etc. the problem with the dining room is it is too small. While we were there there were 2 tours in from Riviera travel and not enough tables to go around, meaning lots of people having to queue.
We did not have an evening meal at this hotel so can't comment on its service.
The staff were very nice and spoke English. They were very helpful in booking tickets for tourist bus and Nou Camp stadium.
I am marking down this hotel because of the room safe keys and the small breakfast room otherwise it would be 4 or 5 star.

Just returned from a 3 night stay with Riviera Holidays
LOCATION Excellent ; it is a few minutes from Place de Joan Carles at the top of Pg de Gracia a beautiful street with loads of cafes and a large proportion of the "must see" sights and all the best shops.
FACILITIES; This is a relatively small hotel but very clean, nice rooms ,very helpful staff. It has a small bar and dining room; Breakfast was a superb buffet selection, as good as we would ever want.
BEDROOM was clean with shower and bath and the air con was good. Hotel has 8 floors with about 10 rooms on each floor so you don't have far to walk from lifts. Our room overlooked the rear courtyard area which was also the play area of neighbouring apartments and flats so could be a bit noisy during the day but we weren't there much of the day. The double glazed windows cut the noise out. No tea making facilities. WI-FI was free and worked in the room.

EATING There are plenty of places to eat nearby. Stingers 50 yds away is a good tapas bar and eatery. Really recommend a short walk to the restaurant at the Pedrera on Gracia for a really good meal and a bit of a treat; about £30+ each but top service and food all in the beautiful Gaudi building. Also has a street café.

We stayed in this hotel at the end of September / early October. The staff who met us were very pleasant and made us welcome. Our room was a standard twin; nothing special, but comfortable and clean. The ensuite bathroom had bath with shower, not a separate shower which I do prefer. All of the standard amenities were present; hair dryer, flat-screen TV, mini-bar and safe. This was the first time that I had ever had to get the lock/key mechanism from reception and fit it in the safe. Usually, you find the combination style safe in modern hotels, but hey-ho. It was slightly annoying that when I initially asked for the lock and key, that the hotel didn't have sufficient for all of the safes and I had to go back in the morning to see if one had been returned, which there had, but I needed to leave a 20€ deposit to secure it! It was also off putting that I had to carry the key around with me all day, especially as Barcelona is renowned for its pickpockets! I was forever checking that I still had it on me.

The breakfasts were excellent. The choice was wide and the hot food, hot. The only minor drawback and I'm being picky here, is the the tea/coffee machine is in the corner of the restaurant and it causes queues to build up for its use. It would be better placed centrally. Christina and her staff were really efficient in ensuring that the tables were ready for the guests and that there was sufficient fresh food laid out. On only one occasion did a small queue appear, as guests arrived in greater quantity that the restaurant could hold.

The hotel is well placed for the centre of the city. We walked for the docks to the hotel in 50 minutes without effort. The main streets are only 10 minutes away for the average walker. If I had to level one criticism at the hotel it would be the lack of an area to site out and relax, but that is being picky. We both enjoyed our stay, sleeping well in room 402 towards the rear of the building away for the road and would happily recommend it.

Room Tip: Try and get rooms at the back of the hotel, as the front overlooks a busy street. When you check...

Clean big room. A bit expensive but booked last minute. Reception staff were great and friendly. Location isn't too bad but a bit of a walk to las ramblas (20 min?). Area felt safe and would recommend staying here.

We enjoyed our stay, a reasonably sized room on 3rd floor at the back overlooking a children's play area and flats, better than at the front on a very busy and noisy road. Breakfast is expensive now at 16E and better taken at one of the very good and numerous cafes in the area. We had dinner one night which was just about acceptable and again is 16E. It is quite a way north above Av. Diagonal so if you don't like walking you will need to use the Metro or local bus to get south to the harbour or Rambla. Whatever the hotel is like nothing can put us off Barcelona, one of the best cities in Europe.

Room Tip: Maybe better to ask for a room at the back if you don't sleep well with heavy traffic.
