Catalonia at Les Tres Torres is a great accommodation to escape the noise and hustle of central Barcelona. It's a great place to stay with a family - a few nice eateries and cafes in the neighbourhood. Bar Ri, a few steps away from the hotel, is definitely worth a visit. The team at the hotel are very friendly and competent. Iban at the front desk is very friendly and knowledgeable. Sarria is only a few stops away from the centre. Definitely going back to Catalonia Les Tres Torrres!

Stayed here in late Feb. Great location, not too central and noisy, but close enough. Staff were excellent. Breakfast very pleasant. Good restaurant two doors away. The nearest metro is a little walk away though.

Pros: The hotel is located in a residential area (with metro access) far away from the touristic attractions; therefore, the stay was calm and pleasant. We were given a free upgrade to their premium room with a really huge private terrace. The staff at the reception were exceptionally friendly and provided a ton of information, booked tickets to Sagrada Familia and printed them for us. Light in the terrace was defective. When complained, it was replaced within 2 hours. There are a number of cafes, restaurants, bars and supermarkets near the hotel which are economically priced. We could see a drastic difference in the prices in touristic areas. We had to be at the conference venue by 7 am every day, so we did not try the breakfast in the hotel, so I couldn't rate it here.

Minor cons: Water kettle with coffee/tea packets in the room would have been nice. They have a common coffee/tea maker in the lobby, but to use it, you need to ask for the coffee/tea packets at the reception each time. I preferred going to the surrounding cafes instead. The weather was hot and the air-conditioner did not work. It was blowing out only hot air. Instead of complaining, we preferred to open the balcony door, which solved the problem. Our room (No. 500) was in close proximity to the elevator's chamber, and the sound was little disturbing. This was not a problem for us but could ruin the sleep for sensitive sleepers.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the street have nice view but have to bear with the elevator's noise.

This hotel is a block off the main road and located along a residential street. This is a slightly odd location but the hotel is a lovely small hotel. Not a large footprint and not a ton of rooms. The location was outstanding. A bit away from the city center so the price per night was much less than closer hotels, however, the Metro stop is just a quick 3-4 minute walk. That Metro line is on a direct line to the city center. It was 15-20 minutes from walking out of the hotel until I was in the City Center. The location was an easy walk from Camp Nou and FC Barcelona. The price was outstanding. I stayed on the beach the previous trip to Barcelona and this hotel was much easier to get around the town at 1/3 of the price. Even better than the hotel, the employees were some of the best ever. They were willing to help me plan my travels around the city and offer suggestions on how to make the experience better. Overall, the hotel is small with not a lot of rooms and located in an odd spot, but well worth the one block walk to get to it. The personal service they gave was so much better than a large "chain" hotel. This will be my first choice of hotels the next time I am in town.
