We had great stay at this small hotel in the Gothic Quarter. The hotel was quiet since it was off the main road and it was within walking distance of several sites, as well as La Rambla. The front desk will print your boarding passes if you send them a pdf. The only thing missing from the room is a mini-fridge.More

Stayed here for three nights, great location for a stroll to the port or the Ramblas. It can be difficult to find when coming back through the maze of alleys that is the gothic quarter, but once you have your bearings it’s all good.
The rooms are fine, large bathroom and great waterfall shower, I found it quiet in the room (311).
Staff were excellent very helpful and friendly, I’d stay here again due to the location.
It would have been a five star review from me if there was a bar, not a major issue as there are lots of bars just outside the door, but when you are waiting for ‘er indoors to get ready, a bar area is always a nice place to wait.

Lovely property, in a great location to explore the port and the old part of Barcelona. Room was spotless and desk staff was always friendly and helpful with anything we needed. Breakfast had a great selection of meats and cheeses and other yummy goodies. And the best juice - red in color. Think it was berry, banana and guava.
Would be happy to stay again on the next visit.

We booked 2 rooms for our long weekend. 1 double and a single for my son - birthday trip for him. As my partner is disabled I asked in advance if we could keep one of the rooms on till later in the day to allow him to have a snooze before departing. Alberto on the front desk was very supportive of our request and we were allowed to have a later check out of 3pm. The hotel is extremely clean and comfortable. All the staff we encountered were smiley and polite and nothing too much trouble. On check in a map is provided with location of metros and various tourist 'must sees' are pointed out. Our room looked into the back of the building so not much a view but the bed was big and super comfortable. The bathroom was very big, modern with loads of toiletries and a good hairdryer. My son had a small balcony with a view up the street which he loved. Breakfast is excellent - by far one of the best selections we have seen. Fresh juices, milks, yogurt, cereal, pastries, fruit, meats, cheeses, Spanish omelette, little hot pots of scrambled egg, sausage and sauted vegetables, breads, jams, smoothies, 2 coffee machines and plenty of choice for teas. Hot freshly made choices are also available. Spoiled for choice! Location of the hotel was ideal, with La Rambla, Raval, harbour and Barri Gothic areas all within an easy walk. Metro just along the end of the Ample. Fantastic bar called Penny Banger a couple of doors along and lots of little mercats nearby. We had no issue at all with safety and felt very relaxed the whole time we were there. We had a wonderful time in Barcelona and loved the NH Barri Gotic!!

Book a stay in this hotel with my son and his wife. Hotel was gone enough but very noisy all nights and hot in room. If you open room window noise was greatly increased, we are staying room 309 stay out if you want any sleep. People were nice enough but area was best suited for being mugged and beaten and then robbed. Many merchants seen it only one took chase after him with my son and my self. He put his arm round my head and tried to trip me back wards. When he saw that it did not work he punched me in the jaw as I tried to break my self free. He had torn my shirt open and saw a solid gold chan with two medaliens which he ripped off my neck and then ran. Fortunately my wallet and money were in my front pockets which he did not get. I don't know what he really wanted but did stay on my feet and will never know what was his real motive. Away with a important and sentiment piece of jewelry to me gone forever. He was tall six foot +/- thin build. Black sneakers with soles. Very dark complex with short beard. The streets are very narrow and matrons not helpful. Stay together in large groups or just stay away

And can wait to get away from this dump. Only come here if you don't mind getting mugged. I did hear from one of the many store keepers he had a knife. I suppose I will count my blessings.

What is really sad all the shop workers all standing in there doors did nothing to help or stop the mugging. Makes one wonder. Hotel room small had no ac was so so. Worst part of one who is considering in staying there I got mugged 3 doors from there entrance.
