My husband and I stayed here for one week and it was delightful. The hotel is located in the beautiful Eixample area of Barcelona. It is very close to the Metro and there are so many nice restaurants nearby that you are spoilt for choice. Our favourite restaurant was Monchos and we also enjoyed Taller de Tapas, Cinco Jotas, and Lizzarin. Our room was very spacious and had a lovely little balcony which had a great view of the Gaudi building La Pedrea. Even though our room faced a busy street it was very quiet due to the four layers of sound proofing. Robes and slippers were provided and the toiletries were L’Occitane. The air-conditioning and Wi-Fi worked very well. Breakfast was ok and tea and coffee were available all day. The staff were all very helpful and we want to single out Javier who goes above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. We had an early morning start to catch our flight and we were given a picnic to take with us for our breakfast. a really lovely touch. We would happily stay here again.

This is a property for people in the know; people who are tired of brash international hotel chains and who instead seek personal attention and privacy. It is also not easy to find unless you know what you are looking for. Hidden away on the first floor of an elegant building on Provenca in central Barcelona, just off Passeig de Gracia, the only indication of its presence is a dicreet nameplate on the wall of the entrance to the property at number 286 Provenca. When you enter the building and take either the small elevator or the marble staircase to the hotel entrance, you are immediately transported into an older, somehow more gracious world of yesteryear. You are greeted personally by knowledgable and friendly staff and given a quick overview of the property and the room. The room is quiet, with four levels between you and the street outside; a huge glass door, two wooden sliding doors and finally two wooden shutters. The proportions of the room need to be experienced to be believed, with a height of around sixteen feet from floor to ceiling. Exceptionally comfortable bed, eclectic furniture and a beautifully-appointed bathroom complete the picture. Free Wifi is always on for those with their own equipment-alternatively a netbook is at your disposal. No tacky in-room tea and coffee-making facilities-rather a fully-kitted room with a huge range of tea, a Nespresso coffee machine and bottled water is avaliable just beside the breakfast room. The central location is ideal. I reckon the trip from El Prat airport T2 to Circa 1905 via the R2 Renfe train to Passeig de Gracia station followed by a short walk takes no more than forty minutes. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

Room Tip: Room 4 overlooks Provenca and is beautifully proportioned.

This is a delightful Boutique B&B. Central location in a very nice area of Barcelona. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was perfect and the 'help yourself' espresso, tea, bottled water and ice next to the breakfasting room was great. The whole ambiance of the place was the best I've ever experienced. Highly recommend.

Room Tip: All rooms are delightful.

Very lovely place. Small and cosy one. Perfect location and absolutely friendly staff.
Although the breakfast should be better. More choice plus hot meals and some fruits are very desirable. Actually it's not a hotel - it's just a floor in old building (built in 1905 probably). But precisely because of this each (or some of) room has a French window and it's part of shared balcony-terrasa overlooking a small courtyard.

Spent 3 nights at this lovely B&B -- on the more luxurious side both in service, accommodations and a fine breakfast. Highly recommend, as it couldn’t be more conveniently located just off Passeig de Gràcia.

We stayed with my husband for 3 days at Circa 1905 and we didnt want to leave. The place is lovely a 1905 house restyled in the heart of El Eixample neighborhood, full of restaurants and stores. The staff is really nice and helpful. Rooms are really spacious, decoration is very classy, furniture is of the time and it looks they took care of every detail, the bed is really good also our room also had a lovely terrace where we took breakfast or just a coffee in the afternoon. really recommend it.

This hotel is a charmer, both in its physical properties and in its personnel. It offers not only up-to-date accommodation in a very handily located part of the city, just off both the Paseo de Gracia and Las Ramblas, with lots of restaurants around it, but a chance to step back into history with the charms of the past and none of its inconveniences. In short, the best of both worlds. The atmosphere of the hotel is compelling. You feel that you have wandered onto a sound stage in a Fellini movie and that the great director´s spirit is never far away. Wonderful
place! Delightful staff! Visionary owner!

Room Tip: They don´t have anything that would qualify as a bad room.
