“Our home in Barcelona!”
Reviewed June 14, 2013

We have stayed twice in BG over 9 months, one week each time. We are totally comfortable and at home here. Have become friends with Beatriz, the young proprietor, she is the most attentive and accommodating host ever. Located in Gracia, a leafy upscale neighborhood. Several metro stations nearby, lots of shops and eateries. Both times we stayed in room #4 which has a window overlooking the street and has good light. Double bed, attached bathroom, big window, very comfortable. BG is invariably clean and tidy, will pass any white glove test. Continental breakfast is generous, fruit, granola, yogurt, juice, milk, toast, cheese, deli meats, pastries, and special cakes homemade by Beatriz. A fancy machine dispenses coffee drinks, tea, hot chocolate, hot milk throughout the day. There's a spacious outdoor deck where we enjoy having breakfast and also sit out in the evenings. We tend to pop in and out throughout the day and somehow, our room is always serviced and cleaned quietly and unobtrusively without any inconvenience to us. We intend to visit Barcelona again shortly and two of the reasons are Beatriz and BG!

We stayed at the Blanc Guesthouse for 3 nights before our cruise and 1 night after we got back. We had two different rooms and were pleased with each. The first room was opposite the entry to the guesthouse. The other had a window on Tuset. Each had an ensuite bath. Beatriz was most helpful with any question we had about the area. The breakfasts were very good and included yogurt and granola along with bread, meat, cheese, orange juice, and sweet rolls or cake. The area around the guesthouse is safe. There is a taxi stand on the corner across the street from the guesthouse. I would definitely recommend this Bed and Breakfast to any of my friends who go for a visit to Barcelona!

Stayed at Blanc Guesthouse in May 2013. We had a little bit of problem locating the guesthouse as the signage wasn't obvious. But use the Tuset Restaurant and Lexus showroom as your landmark and entrance to Blanc Guesthouse is right in-between.
The guesthouse itself is most lovely, with a very homely feel. As mentioned by other reviewers, it is very clean. The rooms are equipped with TV (Tip : You can adjust the language to english), wifi and a safe. Beatriz is most helpful with directions and recommendations. She gave us a listing of restuarants to try and even helped us with the reservations (a must as some restaurants have limited seatings). We tried 18 Octobre and Santa Gula, both within walking distance, for dinner and lunch respectively - will put up a separate review. The breakfast is superd, there's always bread, cake, pastry, yogurt, fruits, coffee and juice. And the coffee machine is available till 9pm everyday.
Location wise, it is within walking distance to Casa Batlo and La Pedrera and we even walked all the way to La Ramblas. But if you want an alternative, there are public buses scattered around the guesthouse which will bring you to most places. The metro stations are within a manageable walking distance.
I choose the rooms with an ensuite bathroom. One of the rooms (Room 1) faces the street and it is a little noisy at night. The other room (Room 7) is next to the pantry and faces the courtyard. If you are an early riser, then you would not be bothered by the noise in the morning when guests are taking the breakfast and making their coffee. We personally perfers Room 7 as it was quiet at night and we would open the window to the courtyard at night.
Definitely value for money and I highly recommend anyone going to Barcelona to stay there!

We had a nice room overlooking a generally quiet street. The staff were very friendly and helpful, allowing us to base ourselves there after checking out. The location is good, quite close to Casa Batllo and La Pedrera.

Room Tip: We had a room overlooking the street, although it wasn't too noisy, even surprisingly on the nig...

Once you find it (its very well hidden) you won't be disappointed!
Friendly attentive service, great breakfast and tea and coffee on tap! Try homemade banana and orange cakes throughout the morning... fantastic!
Rooms are very clean, great shower and comfortable beds.. what more could you want! Free safe in room and free Wi-Fi available with secure fast connection.
We chose the en suite room and really cant fault the set up at all.. love this place!
Why pay 4 or 5 star prices when this guesthouse offers great value for money in a location that has its own charm and is just a 10 minute walk to Diagonal Metro which offers easy access to the City centre.

We had to cancel our stay due to the serious illness of a family member so we have not yet stayed here but we definitely will when we reschedule our trip. Whenever we solicited info such as directions, we received a quick, informative, and warm reply. We also received a caring response when we had to cancel. We are eager to experience the hospitality first hand. Based on our experience, we highly recommend. Deb

...but they didn't get the noise level right. You can't get breakfast here until 8:30 AM because it would make too much noise for the people in rooms near the breakfast area. And yes, there IS a lot of noise. I was in room 7, and it's noisy.

But everything else is so perfect, I still recommend it.
