Description: New concept of tapas, reinventing our spanish beloved pepito sandwich, feminizing it and using new ingredients under this same concept. Taking care of the traditional receipts, product´s season and tapas eating way. La Pepita is a place to come for an early aperitif, some beers and bravas, late lunch or dinner, at the marble bar or in the cozy small saloon. It is a familiar restaurant, where the value for money and treat is something we take care about.

We managed to get a seat at the bar here (once our taxi driver had called his friend to look up the address on the internet, be warned, this is no a big restaurant) and had some of the best tapas I've ever had.

The atmosphere was great, all the staff were really helpful and the food is amazing

We came because if the reviews and we were not disappointed. It was extremely busy but we were found a tiny table within fifteen minutes. A young and international crowd was fun to be with and the rushed off their feet staff were efficient and laid back at the same time. Also good to be off the beaten track for a change.

Do not miss the eggs with foie gras and potatoes!

The pepitas themselves are very thin toasted pieces of bread with different meals inside. We liked the beef and mashed potato and also the sausage one but overall preferred the tapas menu.
We paid about 85 euros for three tapas and two pepitas and a bottle of Ribera. Not bad for such good food in Barcelona.
Very noisy and busy so you have to be in they mood but brilliant if you are.

I can be short : excellent tapas, not cheap, crowdy, be patient to have a table if no reservation, but certainly a place i would recommend!!! And by the way a very friendly lady host dressed in a very nice black dress. We came there on a saturday eve at abt 8pm and had to wait only half an hour with a very glasss of white wine while admiring the nice counter
