We were craving Indian food and asked Pakistani shop owners in the Raval for a restaurant that would have good butter chicken. They directed us to Zeeshan Kababish. We would never have found this on our own or gone in if we had come across it. Dimly lit, with straight back chairs and formica table tops and a tv blaring Pakistani soap operas, this restaurant did not look promising. But the food, when it came, was terrific - delicious chicken tikka masala, mutton curry, karahi chicken and fresh naan. The one kabab dish we ordered was not great, though that could be an aberration. The place is not licensed and serves soft drinks at cost, the food is authentic, with spice levels adjusted for each diner, and is very reasonably priced. We went back to this place twice, and were very pleased to have discovered it.
