Hotel is in a very good location, very close to Plaza de Catalunya. Clean, new and modern decorated. Breakfast is good. You can have it inside or at the terrace. Personel ıs very polite and helpfull. The only problem with hotel is rooms for one person is small. I am disappointed with that. But everthıng other than that was wonderfull. It was more than a 3 star hotel. I will stay again if ı come to barcelona again.

I just got back home from an amazing stay in Barcelona and this hotel. We were a group of 3 young adults and stayed in Hotel Granvia for total 8 nights. We were in room 409 and it was simply amazing. Room overlooked the backyard and it was very quiet. Personally I wouldn't mind having a room with street view because noise from the street doesn't bother my sleep but if you like your room quiet ask for this type of a room. We read lots of "bad" reviews here and couldn't find all the issues other people mentioned like smell or uncomfortable pillows or rude staff or problems with AC, everything was perfect.

First impression of the hotel was this AMAZING perfume in the air, from the moment you walk through the door all the way to your room you smell this amazing perfume that captivated us so much that at one point we wanted to ask receptionist what did they use because we want to take it home.
For 8 days we enjoyed in a very comfortable room (the only thing, and this is very subjective and not a negative comment at all, is the pillow. Personally I prefer firm solid pillows and you'll get bit longer and very soft pillows. First night I couldn't find a spot but already for the second and every other night I slept like I was on a cloud, I got used to it and found my perfect position).
Breakfast deserves some kind of an award. Selection was amazing, from croissants in which you can put jelly, Nutella, butter, wonderful and different cakes and cookies every single day, wonderfully put together sandwiches with combination of jamon or tuna with boiled egg, to little italian tramezzini. For those who don't eat white wheat and want something "healthier" you'll find wide selection of cereals as well as skim milk, yogurth, almonds, fruits, mozzarella, tomatoes. They had great selection of tea, cocoa, coffees from Nescafe machine, it was jsut amazing and constantly staff was controling the amounts and when one plate would get empty second one was already on its way.

Overall decoration is very chic and modern and well combined with the actual building that was actually a private palace, and if all these things didn't make you go to their website and book your stay over there maybe location will because the only thing you have to do is walk around the corner and you're at Placa Catalunya. Metro is accross the street, station Passeig de Gracia.

Next and every time I go to this amazing city I will always book this hotel, if I could I would give them 10 stars. That's how amazing it was.

Room Tip: We were assigned with a room that looked on the back yard so if you prefer quiet rooms ask for that...

Very chic designer hotel , spacious room, crisp sheets on a gorgeous bed, lattes throughout the day, plethora of fresh offerings for morning buffet in breakfast room leading out to a charming, soothing courtyard, central location, friendly front desk, charming elevator -- we have nothing but praise for this lovely hotel which is very close (2 short blocks) to the shuttle bus drop-off from the airport. And very near Las Ramblas, perfect for after-dinner strolling. We were so happy with this hotel during the whole of our three-day visit, I've been looking forward to giving it a thumbs-up once we got home. Even took photographs of the winding staircase and internet library room. A perfect stay.

We really liked this hotel. We stayed in a room with a sizeable patio facing a large courtyard. It was very quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed drinks on the room's patio. The room and hotel were very clean. The hotel dining room was large and comfortable and included 24 hour coffee and tea. The breakfast came with the room and was well worth it. The staff were excellent. The only drawback was that the room was somewhat small.

This hotel is situated just a few hundred yards from Placa de Catalunya where all the aiport buses terminate. It is also in the heart of the city centre so an ideal spot to see all of the Barcelona.

The hotel is spotlessly clean with a great gushing hot shower in the bathroom. I am not sure if the air con was working and despite being November the room did get quite warm one evening but nothing that opening a window wouldn't solve.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, even offering us umbrella's on one of the day's when it poured with rain.

No tea or coffee making facilities in the room however on the first floor there is a lounge area with a hot drinks vending machine.

I can't comment on the breakfast in the hotel as we booked on a room only basis. There is a small cafe immediately next door that is open in the mornings for breakfast. We ate there twice and found the food to be reasonably priced with generous portions.

I think the only negative was the cost of the single room (we had booked a double and one single). The cost of the single was much the same as a double. Our booking had been made via the Easyjet website so perhaps going direct to the hotel may have been more competitive. The single room is compact although I have to stress it was beautifully decorated and very clean but it was expensive. Perhaps if you are a solo traveller you may like to check the prices via various booking agents plus direct with the hotel prior to making a confirmed booking.

Overall this is an excellent hotel with friendly staff in an area close to the bus depot, The Ramblas and the tourist buses. I would certainly consider using again when staying in Barcelona

Room Tip: We stayed on 4th floor - no view apart from into another bedroom but on the plus side the room was q...

We stayed 4 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are clean, fresh and well decorated. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and extremely helpful. They gave us lots of suggestions for dinners which were all great. The location is wonderful, walking distance to many major attractions and easy access to buses, trains etc. The terrace and business centre both added to our comfortable stay. We would definitely stay there again and recommend this hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel this weekend - we had a quadruple room and it was very spacious, very clean and modern. The only down side was the bathroom smelt because of the drains but thats all i can say as a negative. The bedding and towels etc were all replenished each day and the staff were so helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcome.

Its in a great location in the centre of Barcelona so easy walking distance to Las Rambles and lovely restaurants and bars.

Would definately stay here again :-)
