We had a great time at this hotel. When we booked our room, we paid a small fee (10 euro per night) to upgrade the room - it was well worth it. Our room was newly-renovated and was beautiful, with a small balcony over the main street. The location is great for a first-time visitor, as it's near the Old City / Gothic Quarter, Passeig de Gracia and the metro is almost right out the door of the hotel. Although the street right outside our room was very noisy, we didn't hear a thing - the windows and walls were completely sound proof. The staff was very responsive as well. Would definitely stay here again.
