Decent sized rooms, nothing at the hotel really other than the rooms. Little shop just opposite for beers. Right on the corner of Plaza de Catalunya so easy to get about. 10 mins walk to the train station, 30 mins from Airport. Charged 54cents for a milk in the mini bar was a shock, esp when they supply tea bags and a kettle! Not sure if the walls were thin or there were just really noisy neighbours. Good quite a/c though.

Very welcoming, very nice and discreet staff, good sound insulation, room very clean, great continental breakfasts served by Karina always smiling, professional, attentive to needs of clients.
Great location, close to everything (Ramblas, transport, restaurants, Carrer de Gracias ...)
If we return to Barcelona, we will not hesitate to stay at the Hotel Reding.

If you're after a well-priced, centrally located hotel in Barcelona then don't look any further.

Reding Hotel is just a 5 minute walk from Plaza Catalunya, easy to find and has a 24-hour reception if you're arriving late at night. The hotel covers all the basics well - it's clean, tv, breakfast and helpful staff on the front desk that speak both Spanish and English.

However, it is very basic, and if you're looking for something slightly more luxurious or plan to spend a few quiet nights in (why would you in Barcelona?) then I would look elsewhere. Take it or leave it.

We found it quiet enough when we did want to sleep, and the bed was comfy.

We just spent two nights at hotel Reding. It was a great location just off the Ramblas.
Easy to get to with the Aerobus directly from the Airport, which only cost us 5 Euros.

We had a double room with two twins. The room isn't huge but it was big enough for us not to trip over each other. They hotel offers two computers and a printer that are located just outside the lounge. This turned out to be very useful and I never even bothered to ask for the wi-fi code to use my own computer. We were also able to buy tickets online for Segrega Familia and print them which allowed us to skip the long wait line to buy tickets.

Nice breakfast offering with eggs, toasts, meats and decent coffee.

The only two drawbacks, the shower head needed to be angled almost straight down not to soak half the bathroom and the air conditioning seems to come to a stop at night, Now matter how low we turn down the temperature it still seemed very warm in the room during the night but nice and cool when we woke up.

Overall a great stay and I would recommend to anyone looking for a good place to stay in Barcelona.

We have just returned from two nights at the Reding Hotel. (We were two adults and one teenager). It was very central (not far from Ramblas) We had a triple room which was good value - and they kindly made up three singles for us. The breakfast was very good - fresh fruit, hot bacon, sausage etc. as well as the usual continental fare. Coffee not brilliant - but you can't have everything! The room was of a very good standard. We had no problems with noise at all, but not sure if there was anyone in the next room to us.The Reception staff were very helpful. They held our luggage on our last day as we had a very late flight. We used the Bus Turistic (hop on hop off) all day which we thought was excellent. We had a fantastic time in Barcelona - it has everything!

Stayed late April 2012. After booking online we arrived early in the morning. The front desk guys were super nice, and offered to hold our luggage in a secure room until our room was ready. We were given a room that had obviously had smokers in it last. After a quick and curtious switch to a different room, we were happy. Along a quiet side street, but close to the Place Caralunya, the Metro and the bus tours of Barcelona we had the benefits of a great location, and also a quiet location. However, our room was part of adjoining rooms, and the door between the two rooms allowed us to hear every word spoken in the next room. A towel stuffed under the door seemed to help. Hardwood floors in the room were nice, but maybe exacerbated the noise a little.

Free WiFi in the room!

We found the breakfast offered in the basement reasonably priced for a buffet style that kept us happy until late afternoon. The cafe/bar attached to the hotel had nice lunch specials and polite servers.

Slept there 3 nights when visited Barcelona.
The Hotel is located 1 minute from the university metro station and 2 minutes from La Ramblas on a quiet side street.
You cannot ask for a better location than that.
Staff was very helpful and speaks very good English.
A little wea wifi connection but we did manage to make Skype video calls without too much trouble.
Because we ordered form the website and not from a booking website they included breakfast for free.
On the second night they gave us a free bottle of Cava to the room also free.
Rooms are very very clean.
Because we came early they even upgraded us to the comfort sweet which is a bigger version of the same room but with no view (we didn't care about the view, as long as the room was good).
Each day they replace towels and soaps if needed with shampoo and liquid and solid soaps.
They helped us to get the Barcelona card and find nice shows there as it was a last minute trip and we weren't prepared at all.
If you are in Barcelona - stay there you will not regret it.

Room Tip: Last room on each floor is the comfort suit we stayed at room 410 - it was great.
