“A hidden gem in Barcelona”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 22, 2013

What an amazing and tasteful experience. Small and cozy restaurant. The owner (chef) came to our table to ask if we were pleased with his food. Nice detail! Nothing like being served for somebody that looks after his business.
I prefer small menu options like Romero here or Les Adrets in Lyon, cause the food and options are just perfect. The lamb was terrific! Two Thumps up! I will come back in my next stay in Barcelona.

“Pris fixe with good options”

Nice restaurant in quiet neighborhood. Menu has very good selection for all 3 pris fixe courses. Nice wine selection. A la carte options which we did not try.

“Good food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 5, 2013

So I took my boyfriend and his parents here because of the great reviews and I would say that it was very good food and good service. The ox steak was amazing as were the ravioli and the apparently the salmon. I had a starter of grilled vegetables, which was good, but did not blow my socks off. The coffee was the only thing that disappointed me, and it may have been because the waitress is not the usual espresso puller.

“Small but palatable”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 5, 2013

After being around (for two days) looking for a restaurant for my birthday dinner celebration, my husband concluded that this is the best place around Eixampler. It look so small outside but it stretches inside. The nine of us opted for the 3 courses menu which is very reasonable and extremely delicious. The beef carpaccio as first course was delicately prepared. For main course we had beef tenderloin, duck canard and fish hake which were all superb and very tasteful- with nice accompaniments . The desserts were also awesome. The staff speaks good English and very courteous too. We came out full and completely satisfied. Can highly recommend this place when ever you are in BCN. We will of course come back to this place.

“What an amazing surprise!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 31, 2012

We stumbled upon this place at 9:00 p.m. on New Year's Eve with no reservations. After first turning us away, they were able to accommodate us due to no-shows. What followed was an exceptional 10-course, fixed menu meal, including a bottle of wine and coffee. With no idea what to expect, we were treated to course after excellent course. From the pumpkin soup starter to the Torrone after dessert, everything was wonderfully prepared and served by the gracious and friendly staff. To cap off the evening, we enjoyed the traditional 12 grapes and Cava with the other diners and staff. All for a very reasonable price that was far below that charged by other restaurants in the city for their New Year's menu. We highly recommend Romero's for a special meal in Barcelona.
