Best way to enjoy this tidy little hideaway is to go with friends and ask the server to start bringing food. That's the way the four of us did it. We checked out the venue in the afternoon and convinced the proprietor to reserve a table for us (not usual practice) for 7:30 pm. We chose the wine and then let the food flow. Over a period of, say, 75 minutes we were treated to the kitchen's best. Not having set courses and having the spontaneous delivery of a variety of dishes made for an ideal evening. Luria was our server and what a cutie! She managed English quite well and our conversation with her was a great addition to the meal. Great value. Great ambiance. Great food. Great evening.

This was the fourth visit for our Canadian friends who have visited Barcelona only four times.

Stayed for two months in Barcelona, and went here several times with friends. The restaurant is tiny, tucked away from the street right by the buzzing entrance of Palau de la Musica. The waitresses/chefs are friendly and extremely hard working. Written menu in both English and Spanish. Excellent and exciting dishes: tea-marinated cod, coffee-marinated salmon, patatas bravas with a twist ... magnificently prepared. Don't miss it!

We went without booking and were made welcome. Very handy for eating before the Palace of Music as 1 minute away. Basic bar but food tasty and service very friendly. Todays special chilli con carne great but strangly served cold with bread no rice and tapas of boiled potatoes with a searingly hot chilli sauce and a mild creamy taragon sauce. Drinks pricy. We enjoyed the main courses, service and being among locals. Pudding bought chocolate fondant not exciting. Coffee very good. 4 mains and 2 puddings, bottle of wine, bottled water and 4 small coffee's 75 euros.
