“Very disappointing”
Reviewed July 20, 2013

Maybe ok for children who don't notice the condition of the tanks but it is clear they have either a budget of management problem. One could see the bottom of the actual tank structures. Maybe staff needs to spend more time cleaning and updating the tanks. Tank descriptions were small and hard to read. Adults should skip this site as $$ not worth the visit.

“Great attraction, and a welcome relief from the Barcelona heat”
Reviewed July 19, 2013

Following a similar format to other major city aquariums such as London, there is a great deal of marine life on show to keep all ages interested. The 80 metre slow moving walkway beneath the shark tank was exciting, providing great views of these marine predators, rays and many other species. Three things stopped this from getting a five star rating from me - the price of 20 euros per adult, the large number of children who were not properly controlled by their parents as they pushed and shoved their way past patient adults, and the penguins. The penguins are great, but their tank looked too small for them, looked quite dirty and they just looked sad (I'm no marine biologist or zoologist, so don't precisely know what a sad penguin looks like, but this is just my unqualified observation).

“Huge, well laid out but a little pricey”
Reviewed July 19, 2013

Loved this aquarium-the layout is fantastic and we visited quite late (9.40pm) on a weekday evening. The place was empty and we had free reign to stroll around. The aquarium closed at 11pm and we had just enough time, so allow 90mins to two hours for visiting here. The shark tank and octopus tank were two highlights for me.

While it was brilliant, at €20 per person I did find it expensive so keep that in mind if marine life isnt your area of interest, as once you have visited one aquarium you have more than likely seen most of what is on offer here.

“THE CLOSEST I'VE BEEN TO A SHARK (HOPEFULLY)”
Reviewed July 18, 2013

The best moment in visiting the Aquarium was watching sharks and rays swimming rigth above our heads while being inside glass tunnels. As for the rest, the species variety was good, even though that many aquariums around the world are equally good in this field. If you have your children with you you should not miss it. As many people here say, a little bit expensive(20 euros). Try to ask for discount voucher in your hotel.

“An amazing collection of fish from all around the world, great for children”
Reviewed July 18, 2013

The aquarium has a great collection of fish from all around the world, explanations are clear, written also in English. The shark's aquarium is enourmous, for those enjoying high adrenaline also diving with sharks is available. Children might enjoy this site- as part of the exhibition is especially designed for them.
