Just amazing and a must see while in Barcelona. Gaudi's work is amazing and is well represented in this building. A great self guided tour that is included in the price of admission.

“Nice house”

Must see. Specially at night. The facade is just gorgeous when lighted. The inside is nice too with loads of ornaments and beautiful mosaic walls.

“Great Gaudi (draws a crowd)”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 7, 2013

This is basically an intact Gaudi-designed townhouse. Wonderful to be able to walk through the space in person. Few furnishings remain, but almost all built-in details remain intact. The self-guided audio tour is great, you get to go through the entire structure and listen to as much detail as you wish. I suggest starting on the attic & roof, then working your way down. Don't miss the back patio, great view of the rear outside of the building. There will be many other people here, definitely a 'get tickets ahead' situation. There is in theory wifi to get tickets on the spot without waiting in line, but most folks were having trouble making it work.

“Another masterpiece by Antoni Gaudy”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 7, 2013

It's soooo beautiful yet practical and well thought of. You have to see it to believe it. Its a residential house built and designed with the sea in mind. The curves, lines and colours of the interior and exterior are simply divine.

“Stunning masterpiece by Gaudi - must not miss!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 6, 2013

My dad and I visited the Casa Batllo recently. We went in the early afternoon and it barely took us 10 mins to get in. If you had used the hop-on hop-off bus, the discount voucher book includes a discount for the Casa Batllo entrance fee.

Right from the word go, the visit was magical. The audioguides are a must as the commentary points out some of the unique features of the house, which you wouldn't have appreciated otherwise. There were some ingenious bits of functionality seen eg. the rotating wooden slats to control the room temperature. The rooftop was stunning and the attic was very interesting.

Definitely a testament to Gaudi's genius! Would highly recommend.
