“Amazing Architecture”
Reviewed April 25, 2013

This may not be Goudi's or art nouveau but in contrast it is equally stunning for its magnificent architecture on a grand scale. The atmosphere in here is wonderful, there is so much that catches your eye. So many details - look up, look up, the pillars and ceilings are awe inspiring when you think of the time it was built. I had no problem taking photos which surprised me. I could have just sat and looked around all day, completely wonderful. A word of warning, I saw a young women turned away in her very short shorts with bare legs, so be sure to dress respectfully and enjoy.

“Magnificent Cathedral”
Reviewed April 25, 2013

This cathedral is well worth the visit. The architecture is simply majestic. Hopefully someone will be playing the organ while you visit, because the sound is incredible! Go inside the choir, the detail is astounding. A beautiful part of history. Much more wonderful than Sagrada Familia!!!

“Nice Church in the Nice Square!”
Reviewed April 23, 2013

It is located very central! Nice church in a nice square! Just few minutes walking distance from Plaza Catalunya and the famous Las Ramblas street! You should have your camera with you to take some pictures!

“Truly Beautiful Especially on a Sunday!”
Reviewed April 22, 2013

WE were lucky enough to get a seat for mass and enjoyed it despite it being a high mass and in spanish! The acoustics are sensational and the beauty of the stained glass and artefacts is enough to keep you interested should the service begin to lose you!
Upon leaving we were happy to see the locals dancing the catalan Sardana, which is not impressive in it's movement, but rather in it's enduring emotional independent appeal.
The only downside would be that some ushers were on their mobile phones whilst taking the offertory! Bit odd!

“A must visit!”
Reviewed April 21, 2013

This really is a must visit attraction even if it just to see the comparison with the Sagrada Familia. the Cathedral is stunning but very busy. We did stumble across a tiny sign toward the rear of the church saying lift to roof, it turns out for 2.50 euro you can visit the roof, this is worth while as the views are great and very few people seem to do this so it is a lot quieter than other high viewing platforms. Dont miss the cloisters located behind the Cathedral, they are like an oasis of lush garden in the middle of the Gothic quarter.
