Stayed with family on the club floor. Highly recommended for views and wonderful service / club level lounge. Great hotel absolutely worth the name of Ritz Carlton; gorgeous location for families with children (right next to the beach and the zoo; everything in the city is within a stone's throw by tax); extremely helpful and friendly staff; great rooms and views from the 30th floor. Very comfortable for small kids, both in the rooms and in the hotel. This is expensive pleasure, but completely worth the price

Room Tip: If you can afford, take the club level rooms: they are higher; no noise, great views and wonderful s...

Hotel Arts Barcelona is situated by the sea, so the view is splendid. The most significant piece of art is the giant fish sculpture in front of hotel.
The personnel is extremely friendly and helpful. There is a lot of personnel at the hotel - you cannot get lost in the vast area!
Conference facilities are very good, functional and situated on upper floors, so views are great.

We enjoyed our stay there a lot, the service was amazing, the location was so-so, but the room views left me speechless. I find it a little bit overpriced according to the new and modern hotels that Barcelona offers now.

Room Tip: Higher sea-view rooms are amazing during daytime, and city-view rooms are amazing during the evening...

Hotel Arts was beautiful, quite, and with great service, but was pricier than I thought it should be, and charged exorbitant prices for room service and internet access. I'm also peeved by any hotel that doesn't have any outlets by the bedside table and requires that you move furniture around and unplug lamps just to charge your cellphone and keep it accessible when the alarm clock goes off.

For example, a bowl of rice and a cup of tea ordered to the room was delivered in a respectable 15 minutes, but I later discovered I was charged almost 30 dollars for 30 cents worth of food. In addition, internet access, while free in the lobby was $30 per day.

If price is no object and you simply MUST stay in the fanciest place in town, and don't mind having to take cabs everywhere, the Hotel Arts will please. But if you want someplace more reasonably priced that is within walking distance to the Gothic and Las Ramblas 'hoods there are plenty of better options.

Room Tip: Get a room on a high floor

We spent one night in April postcruise. We have stayed in Barcelona a number of times and this hotel just wowed us with their service! From the time we arrived we were treated as if we were very special guests from our doorman to check-in the experience was amazing. While checking in we were given glasses of water with ice (which was great as I was very thirsty due to medication I was taking) and yellow and green jellied candies which coordinated with all the magnificent flowers in the lobby. Talk about attention to detail. . . Our room was actually ready at 10:00 AM in the morning, another wonderful surprise.

Our room was lovely, modern, clean and very well maintained. The shower was to die for but for me the magnifying mirror in the bathroom was the icing on the cake. It was large and high magnifying and the quality of the mirror was the best I have ever encountered. The bed was so comfortable possibly one of the best beds we have ever slept on.

When we later ventured out one of the staff took us outside the hotel to give us directions. It was like they couldn't do enough for us. This is a RitzCarlton property and it shows. The hotel is located practically on the beach and we had a lovely view of the water from our room. It is located in the Olympic Village area. This was the first time we have stayed in this part of the city so we really enjoyed walking around. Down on the beach they have alot of restaurants facing the water and we chose one for dinner and had tapas, delightful.

We have traveled all over the world and this was the best service we have received in any hotel, of which many have been 5 star. We have already booked a return stay for November, post cruise once again.

On arrival at the hotels entrance we were overwhelmed by the welcome from the door staff The attentiveness of the staff could not be faulted and we were offered drinks and sweets on arrival at the lobby. Checking-in was smooth and quick. We had a beautiful room on floor 20 which overlooked the beach, marina and city. Comfortable bed and large well designed bathroom.
Spa. Had 3x20min treatments in the spa and relaxed in the ladies area. Great relaxing space , small but with lovely views of the sea and city.
We went for a fantastic birthday meal in the tapas restaurant on our first evening. The staff were so nice and the food was amazing, especially loved the 'basil' cocktails made by the lovely barman, who gave me his recipe to take home.
Came back to strawberries, chocolate and cream in the room...nice touch
The outside grounds are lovely with plenty of places to sit and chill. Location of hotel is great because you can get the tour bus just around the corner or take the beautiful walk along the beach promenade to the marina and city.
To conclude, I will definitely go back to the Hotel Arts when in Barcelona next and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay. The friendliness of the staff really made this a great stay for me.

Room Tip: Room facing the sea and city, west

I spent 3 days in April as part of a business trip. Despite booking 30 rooms and one of the penthouse meeting room for one day, they couldnt make the effort to plan the check-in advance. We ended up with people on corner suites on the 29th floor but most of the team in the 2nd/3rd floor facing the highway and no sleeping well due to outside nois despite paying 300 euros a night...despite charging 6 euros to delivery welcome gifts to each room and telling us deliveries were completed, it took them 2 days to complete the delivery...they refused to facilitate free wifi in the rooms (25 euors per day per room)...rooms need an upgrade (e.g.the wood had several stratches), the staff needs to learn local language and to how to keep their promises...etc..views are breathtaking but I wouldnt organize again a business meeting or even go for leisure...

Room Tip: High floor and looking at the sea...
