Owner description: Casa Mila, popularly known as La Pedrera, is a most unusual building, constructed between 1906 and 1912 by the architect Antoni Gaudí (1852–1926) and declared UNESCO World Heritage in 1984. Today it is the headquarters of Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera and houses a cultural centre that is a reference point in Barcelona for the range of activities it organises and the different spaces for exhibitions and other public uses it contains. A visit to La Pedrera, landmark building and container, gives us a better understanding and appreciation of architecture and transports us to the period when Antoni Gaudí lived.

You can get a different perspective of Gaudi's genius when you see this building and the roof top. Make sure to see it at night as well!

“Must visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 5, 2013

Along with Casa Batlló, there are also jazz concerts at dawn on the roof top terrace. Must get there a bit early as there will be a queue and you want to pick a good place for the concert.

“Perfect”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 5, 2013

An art building with full of details. Inside, you can see lots of different art and design products. (Audioguide is recommended) aand there is a nice gift shop. Its a little expensive than other shops but lots of different items and books in there.

“Amazing fluid architecture”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 4, 2013

The Gaudi designed, La Pedrera is an apartment building on Passeig de Gracia designed by Gaudi. You can access it on the "hop on hop off" route making visiting the amazing building very easy. The large central atrium, curving staircases and iron balconies (each is different from the next), roof top "soldiers" and mini-towers, and furnished apartment were well worth the visit. Like many of Gaudi's buildings. English language hand-held devices make the trip complete.

“Good Gaudi experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 4, 2013

We chose to only visit Casa Mila and not Casa Batlo as well due to reviews we'd read

We thought this was a unique and interesting experience and the audioguide was useful to learn about Gaudi.

You go to the roof, attic and apartment on this tour and gave a good insight into Gaudi and his work.

It was 16 Euro pp plus 4-5 Euro for the audioguide (my wife and I got one and just shared)

Would also recommend going to Sagrada Familia for a more indepth look into Gaudi's work and it's totally different to other churches you'll see in Europe
