Owner description: Casa Mila, popularly known as La Pedrera, is a most unusual building, constructed between 1906 and 1912 by the architect Antoni Gaudí (1852–1926) and declared UNESCO World Heritage in 1984. Today it is the headquarters of Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera and houses a cultural centre that is a reference point in Barcelona for the range of activities it organises and the different spaces for exhibitions and other public uses it contains. A visit to La Pedrera, landmark building and container, gives us a better understanding and appreciation of architecture and transports us to the period when Antoni Gaudí lived.

“Definitely a must see”
Reviewed March 11, 2013

Entrance fee is expensive now the Bank own the building but everything is so interesting, including how Gaudi set out his buildings. A small display of his furniture well worth inspecting and of course the amazing roof with the chimneys.

“for particular tastes and gaudi fans”
Reviewed March 11, 2013

nice example of an interior with the attic museum and information area and of course the rooftop - maybe a wee bit pricey if you are not into Gaudi, historical living or related !

“Worth a visit”
Reviewed March 10, 2013

Not sure I liked the architecture as it is so wierd but typical architect all curves and no straight lines - so if you like that go and see it.

“Really interesting don't miss it”
Reviewed March 9, 2013

This building is amazing, the variety of landscapes within and on the roof is awesome. Anton Gaudi was undoubtedly a genius. This building is worth every penny to view. There is a fully fitted apartment with artifacts that are also interesting in their own right.

“La Pedrera night tour - check it out”
Reviewed March 9, 2013

We did the "behind the scenes" night tour. Really enjoyed this tour. Gives a different perspective seeing it at night. Really highlights the unique architecture. The tour guide was very informative and entertaining. The cava was cold and delightful at the end of the tour. If you don't go during the day, or if you are too busy in the day, certainly swing by at night and do this tour. A great view of the city at the top as well. One note, if you want to go to the gift shop, go before the tour. The tour starts at 9pm (English tour) and the gift shop closes at 8:30pm. There is also a restaurant at La Pedrera if you want to grab a drink or food before or after the tour. You might need reservations on certain nights.
