Owner description: Casa Mila, popularly known as La Pedrera, is a most unusual building, constructed between 1906 and 1912 by the architect Antoni Gaudí (1852–1926) and declared UNESCO World Heritage in 1984. Today it is the headquarters of Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera and houses a cultural centre that is a reference point in Barcelona for the range of activities it organises and the different spaces for exhibitions and other public uses it contains. A visit to La Pedrera, landmark building and container, gives us a better understanding and appreciation of architecture and transports us to the period when Antoni Gaudí lived.

“Nice...outside !”
Reviewed February 17, 2013

Very nice house. But very expensive visit entrance for a disappointing visit. The roof is very nice, but for the rest there is only one level in the house to visit with a shop...of course. Better give the money for a visit to Casa Batllo.

“For those who loves architecture”
Reviewed February 17, 2013

I don't remember exactly but the ticket price was a bit expensive. It is a real functioning dwelling building in which one floor is preserved as it was at the beginning of 20th century. The visitor can go through all rooms and see the interior design of that epoch. Moreover one can go to the roof and make a foto with a famous chimneys. But I still think that it is not an object of first importance to attend when you are in Barcelona.

“Genius design!”
Reviewed February 16, 2013

We visited this crazy building in December 2012. The attention to detail by Gaudi was amazing. Every door, windows and their handles are carefully designed. The apartment is well presented and the audio guide (paid separately) was clear. A must for Gaudi fans!

“Great House”
Reviewed February 16, 2013

This seems the more popular choice visitor wise but if I had to choose between this and Casa Batllo I'd choose Batllo. Audioguides are not included in the prices of entrance here, although you do go up in the lift and make your way down through the house - so it's possibly an easier option if you aren't a fan of steps. Never the less it is an amazing property and very worthy of a visit.

“Gaudi fans a must”

Another of Gaudi's fascinating buildings - wait till you see the roof! Need a head for heights though. Get an audio guide to really learn more about the building and history.
