Owner description: Park Guell is one of the masterpieces of the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi, who projected it in 1900. Inaugurated as a public park in 1926, it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, reconizing its patrimonial and cultural value as a symbol of modern architecture, being one of the biggest exponents of Gaudi's modernism. This playful urban park, the work of architect Antoni Gaudi, features peaceful greens, winding paths and many sculptures and mosaics designed by Gaudi himself. We recommend the following options for ensuring that you arrive on time at the Park Guell Monument Precinct: - Metro (green line, get off at Lesseps or Vallcarca). When you leave the station, you’ll have a walk of about 20-25 minutes. - City bus (lines H6 and 32). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 15 minutes. - City bus (lines 92 and 24). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 5 minutes. - Barcelona City Tour and Bus Turistic. When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 10 minutes. - Taxi to Park Guell

If you are only in Barcelona for a short time I would skip this one. It is quite far from Barcelona center and not as special as the other Gaudi sites.

Very disappointed, this was a public park open to anybody with its own life and social activity, now it is a museum and you have to pay. Bad decision.

Guell was an impressive artist. His park is a wonderful and amazing site to visit when in Barcelona, Spain. His mosaic art and sculptures are so awesome. The park is big, so wear comfortable shoes and plan to climb up/down several sets of stairs, but all in all, it's worth the effort. The view out over the city from the top is breathtaking.

I prebooked my ticket online, i recommend doing this if you know what time you are going to arrive as it saves on the queue and you can go straight to the gate. The free area of the park is pleasant and a nice place to have a quiet bit of lunch (if you have your own food) but there is not much else to do other than a childrens park. The monumental park area is crowded but beautiful and has some lovely views over the city. It is definitely more beneficial to get off at the Vallcarca metro station, when you leave the station follow the signs to Parc Guell, after a short walk, a road to the left (cant remember the name) has a series of escalators, it is not hard to miss. These escalators will take you up to the top of the park and you then have a nice leisurely walk down through the park and the monumental Gaudi area and from there you can walk down to Lesseps metro station for your journey home.

This park was originally conceived as a public housing project by Gaudi and Guell.
When it didn't work out financially, Guell kept the land then later gave it to the city.
Park Guell is just plain fun to experience.
and it's popular with people of all ages.
