Owner description: Park Guell is one of the masterpieces of the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi, who projected it in 1900. Inaugurated as a public park in 1926, it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, reconizing its patrimonial and cultural value as a symbol of modern architecture, being one of the biggest exponents of Gaudi's modernism. This playful urban park, the work of architect Antoni Gaudi, features peaceful greens, winding paths and many sculptures and mosaics designed by Gaudi himself. We recommend the following options for ensuring that you arrive on time at the Park Guell Monument Precinct: - Metro (green line, get off at Lesseps or Vallcarca). When you leave the station, you’ll have a walk of about 20-25 minutes. - City bus (lines H6 and 32). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 15 minutes. - City bus (lines 92 and 24). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 5 minutes. - Barcelona City Tour and Bus Turistic. When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 10 minutes. - Taxi to Park Guell

A very nice park. Green, brown and colors are everywhere. Even with a fine rain it was pleasant. Your are in wheelchair: forget this place.

A must do in Barcelona design by Gaudi. This is a rare gem and I have never seen anything similar anywhere ever. So much detail and the views from the hill tops of the city were breathtaking
We spent 2-3 hours wondering around with the locals and tourists and loved it thoroughly.

I have been visiting this park on trips to Barcelona for decades and I never tire of it nor fail to find new facets. Approach from the south through the mosaic dragon stairs. See the plaza with its long bench of broken Catalan ceramic mosaics. Marvel at the angled pillars underneath. And just walk the park, it is quite big.

Full of lovely spaces to walk around and further exquisite Gaudi creations, a visit to the park is totally worthwhile.

My wife found a blog that recommended walking down through the park instead of starting at the bottom and working your way up the hill. Even though it was a hot day, we left the park feeling great and ready for more (we're big walkers so your mileage may vary). It's a little weird because you get out in a residential neighborhood (the stop is on the blue line 5: El Coll La Teixonera) and then have to find the beginning of the park - there are signs but not a lot and you're walking through what looks like alleys and driveways but they aren't. You'll have to do a search to get the information (can't link to it from here) but it's easy to find the directions.

The park is beautiful. I recommend paying the admission to see Gaudi's home in the park-well worth the price, we thought. And at the end of the trip, the amazing fountains and buildings are a nice climax to your journey.
