Owner description: Park Guell is one of the masterpieces of the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi, who projected it in 1900. Inaugurated as a public park in 1926, it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, reconizing its patrimonial and cultural value as a symbol of modern architecture, being one of the biggest exponents of Gaudi's modernism. This playful urban park, the work of architect Antoni Gaudi, features peaceful greens, winding paths and many sculptures and mosaics designed by Gaudi himself. We recommend the following options for ensuring that you arrive on time at the Park Guell Monument Precinct: - Metro (green line, get off at Lesseps or Vallcarca). When you leave the station, you’ll have a walk of about 20-25 minutes. - City bus (lines H6 and 32). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 15 minutes. - City bus (lines 92 and 24). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 5 minutes. - Barcelona City Tour and Bus Turistic. When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 10 minutes. - Taxi to Park Guell

This was a very relaxing and nice stroll in a park like setting. We went in the late afternoon...no crowds. Go to the top of the park to get a great view of the city. There is a nice gift shop available.

This is very special place and all I thought it would be. We were in high season but it wasn't as crowded as I expected. Most of the people gather at the main gate to have their picture taken with the lizard but other than that it was not crowded at all. We took the bus to the back entrance and had a nice stroll through the shaded areas with great views. There are musicians scattered around in the shady areas that seem to be permitted but souvenir sellers who seem to be illegal as every so often you see them fold up and run off.
The walk down to the Lespes metro stop is not easy and very hard for my 8 year old. I am so happy we took the bus to the back entrance and did not try to climb up to the park. You can take bus 24 from Passige de Gracia and 91 from near Sagrada familia. The bus winds around a bit but you can't miss the stop as it is a big tourist bus parking lot and half the bus gets off there.
Remember to take a hat and water, and use sunscreen.

This is a must do park even if you are not a Gaudi fan. The park is beautiful, lot of sculptures. Their souvenir shop is unique and you will have a great view.

An absolute must if you have a couple of hours to spend. Splendid architecture and good views of the city in a well laid out park. Popular and not too crowded. Best of all it is a public park and admission is free.

About 10 minutes uphill walk from the city tour bus stop and local busses.

Amazing unusual structures everywhere you look. Great place to visit, walk, stroll and take a picnic. The bridges, benches and walk ways are unreal. Local musicians add to the charm. If your an artist take a sketch pad or camera.
